Hi Kdp authors, I really need an advice from you guys. My Amazon account has been doing badly for like three years now. There were months I would receive 3 dollars, 2 dollars, the highest I get now is 4 dollars. I discovered that the monies dont reflect on my balance on Payoneer due to charges, so someone on the platform advice I shift to Grey app with I promptly did. The first payment was 2.9 dollars and to my surprise, Grey app left 9cents on my balance and took 2 dollars for charges
Just yesterday, Amazon paid another 2.66 dollars and Grey left 1cent.
I have thought of another of receiving the funds but couldn't arrive at one.
THEREFORE, I have just resolved to close my account or kukuma pull down all books. Though the money I make is small, I feel cheated by these Apps. If I dont get a tangible advice from anyone, I will pull the books down. The apps are reaping people off. If 2 dollars is deducted from a million subscribers worldwide in a month or two that amounts to 2million dollars. Just from reaping users off.

I believe from within Amazon/KDP you can either pulse payments or increase threshold before manually paying out using grey. That way you are not on the losing end of their $2 minimum fees.

I have already unpublished my books. I dont really think there is an option of putting payment on pause. If there is, it would be the best news for me. I will Google and see.

I just made some research and I found there is no way to put payments on hold officially. But I learnt if your bank details are wrong and money cant go through the system automatically puts payments on hold. So, as a Nigerian that I am, I think I will intentionally go and change bank details wrongly so that the payments are put on hold. But I read on another platform that if the issue lingers on for so long, one might have issues with Amazon.

If Amazon decide to deactivate my account na their cup of Nescafe as I no dey make good money on the platform. But I refuse to be dashing Payoneer or Grey app the little I make.

Remove all payment details instead of inputting wrong details. They could end up sending to wrong details which will be another issue, waiting for bank to reverse.
Every three or four months you can put back your details for one month., then after payment date (25th to 29th), you remove again.
Try and see how it goes.

Thanks bro. I once tried not putting anything but the system didn't allow me. It says you cant leave the place unfilled. But I go try am again.

Please do not unpublish your books on Amazon.
I have a solution for you.
Most people don't know that Amazon has updated their payment methods. You can now receive payment with your Nigerian Bank account, only that you will have to make up to 100 Dollars before payment is made to your account by Amazon.
Change your receiving account details and you're good. However, you will need to also update your personal taxpayer identification number. If you do not have that, use your NIN or a random number.

Grey.co is reaping authors off. I'm also suffering similar thing from them. Their $2.00 fee is more like working for them. It's sad.
