Oga this is a target against the fuel importers. Group of people sabotaging the government efforts. A win for Nigeria and Dangote
keep living in denial, if they are, they should be arrested and prosecuted, not tax them to tax Nigerians.

Comprehension and basic economics knowledge would have saved you from this embarrassing point.
You don't know this crafty man like I do , if you think he did this protect Dangote than you are a🤡.

We know his cronies are the ones with the high stakes in the import business...Give it some days let's watch , if this gives Dangote any edge then I will come here and apologize..

will this not increase the price on imported fuel, because i dont think Dangote is able to meet the daily consumption on fuel.
Thats the critical question. But Dangote has consistently said he can meet local demand. And truthfully is a 650kpd refinery is firing on all cylinders, then it should be able to meet our demnd easily, especially now that demand has gone down due to less cars on the roads due to the high cost of petrol.

Tinubu's advisers are his worst enemies. All these taxes he is approving will lead him and the country to nowhere but renewed hardship.

So price of petrol about to go up by another 15 percent ....this man is truly heartless abeg
Petrol price is not going up. We have a refinery that can supply all our domestic needs. BUA is under construction and the NNPC refinery is there. This is to make imported petrol more expensive than locally refined petrol, discourage the practice and conserve our forex.

And if they don’t want to patronize Dangote they can set up their own refinery.

Importation will be minimal. Dangote has reasonable quantity but those that have enjoyed importation all these years don't want it to stop.

My thought exactly but the problem is even Dangote is importing fuel... Nigeria is counterintuitive

President Tinubu is surely taking Nigerians for granted. His only saving grace will be a low voter turnout in 2027.
Many will not vote in 2027
and that's what APC wants.
Low turn out is easy to manipulate results.

Nigerians should brace up for increase in fuel pump, una go see shege like never before, no job created, no subsidy on anything, no productive sector, but tax on surviving Nigerians.
You are shortsighted. Government wants to discourage importation but those that have used it all these years to milk our fx don't want. Rather than outright ban government elected to use tax. They will be humbled and go to local producers.

I trust middle men and retailers to sell at imported rate despite buying from Dangote. This is to discourage marketers from importing as allowed in the petroleum industry act📌💯🤷🏿
It will be difficult but not impossible. People keep forgetting or are ignorant of the fact that FG owns a significant percentage of Dangote Refinery.
