I still haven’t received my refund till now. I contacted my bank (Access Bank), and they said they need the ARN as well as the exact date and time of the refund. I also reached out to AliExpress customer service, but they’ve been giving unclear responses saying the particular refund doesn’t have an ARN, among other things.

It’s been over 21 days now, and I’m starting to get worried. Should I go ahead and request a chargeback from my bank? Please, I’d really appreciate your advice on what to do.

All refund would definitely have ARN attached to it ( don't know if things have really changed in recent times sá ) because it helps in tracing the whereabouts of the fund in a situation where the recipient account experiences credit delay.

Retrieving ARN shouldn't be difficult. The code is usually found on the order refund page —select the order, look for "Refund completed or refund finished (or something similar)" and you shoud see information relating to the ARN there. Copy and send to your bank. That's all!

Something is missing somewhere!

Option 2 under "track the refund" clearly mentions "Acquirer Reference Number, which is the ARN. That means, the number should be made available, without which your bank won't be able to trace the money. That the number is missing there however, is not funny — it's either a system error or an omission from Aliexpress. Did you chat with human agents or it's a bot you communicated with?

In the meantime, and while sorting out the ARN issue with Aliexpress, contact your bank again and furnish them with "the refund proof" information. Ask them if using your debit card number (the 16 digits) would be enough for tracing the money.

Instead of trying to solve the problem using phone calls and online approach, why not go to a nearby branch of your bank? Majority of those online customer agents are just there like figure-head. They know nothing!

Go to your bank and show them all the refund evidences from Aliexpress.

Aliexpress is saying the Marchant did not get the payment and after weeks of back and font with Opay, they are saying the payment went through. Aliexpress is still insisting they did not get payment. It seems this payment was done with Access Bank Naira card, if we’re to be a dollar card you should have received your refund by now

Here is one of my previous refund proof. It's obvious aliexpress didn't include the ARN NUMBER.

This is my first experience with Malaysia Post too. Hopefully they expedite action on pending orders. I however think this issue cuts across, cause I have another order that Speedaf picked up and is yet to ship. It got to the airport 6 days ago and status remains awaiting flight.

Post Malaysia is really something else. 2 weeks now and no update on my item . I get my items in 9 days from date of order from Speedaf. Temu is way ahead of Aliexpress. I wish they had more catalog of items

You can open a virtual card with opay. That is what I used for aliexpress. It's a verve virtual card.
