Keep quiet and learn
If dem born you well, when a court summons you, refuse to go or go and walk out on the court claiming democracy
A legislative House can summon anyone in their jurisdiction and have the powers to order arrests of those who disobey their summons. It's in the legislative powers and privileges act
Just because impunity reigns in Nigeria does not mean you can do anyhow
E be like say na OBIDIENT you be. Na dem no dey read before replying messages.

1. You saw pictures of the JAMB people in the location yet your brain is still telling they did not show up
2. The article claimed the JAMB people showed up yet your brain is still telling you they did not show up
3. The lawmakers are complaining of a walk out yet your brain is still telling the JAMB people did not show up. How exactly can people stage a walk out if they did not show up in the first place.

I will not reply you anymore.

This has got to be the biggest joke of the year. Lawmakers wey no know law grin grin

Since when have the lawmakers become kidnapers by holding people against their will
Someone should tell the lawmakers that Nigeria is a free country and people have right to leave a place if they wanted to.
You that know the law but failed to know that jamb is an institution of the govt and has a duty to report to the said govt. Refusing to answer questions or walking out a legislative enquiry is in itself an incriminating offense.

What jamb director and his team did was a slap on all Nigerians..National Assembly belongs to Nigerians and whoever is elected to represent his people is holding it on trust for the people..if only our lawmakers understand it ,no body will disrespect them not even the president...but then when majority of lawmakers are jokers ,such embarrassment will keep happening....
Are those in the National Assembly really accountable to their constituents? do they have closed door sections on issues that impact on the general populace? are they not exhibiting double standards... Both Jamb officials and the NA members are power mongers who wants to do as they wish and it is wrong

No,the regislative arm of the govt have no power to arrest anybody. Its not part of their job.
They should have sent their grievance to the judiciary who can interpret that action and the executive will do the arrest. That is how it should work when it involves arms of govt.
Nigeria has the principle of separation of powers. Its a pity we hardly follow the constitution.

What you see from all arms are common abuse of power we assume is part of the constitution.
Go and read the legislative powers and privileges act before you start blowing grammar pls

You can armtwist it the way you want but the comments up there are voices of people that have lost trust in their government to do the right thing.

The HoR are they accountable? Are they corrupt free?

Let the government fix themselves and the people will rally around them.
Even if Jesus becomes your president, you will still accuse him of corruption. Nothing the government will do to gain the trust of negative people who have a self loathing of their own country.

I am not sure that you read the report. Smh.

That you're a lawmaker doesn’t automatically grant you security access to sensitive information let alone to the media without appropriate clearance.

Las las, JAMB will still not release the sensitive information to the media but will release it exclusively to only those members of the committee. If the sensitive information gets to the media, it is the members of the committee that will be held by D.S.S.

They think that they can intimidate the man and make him forget that he's there to represent the executive arm of government.

Now I understand why JAMB Registrar sent such an experienced Senior Officer to represent him.

Which kind of rookie legislator is this for God's sake. Just clear the media for such period requested and call the media back afterwards! It's serious business and not content creation for the media.

That legislator, Mr Obuku Oforji, must be reported for appropriate investigation and sanctioning if he breached the rights of those FG officials and intentionally wanted to embarrass JAMB.

On the suggestion for the arrest of the Federal Government officials, that's preposterous. The Parliament belongs to every Nigerian and remains the sanctuary for the exercise of every citizen's dignity and lawful freedom in a democracy, including members of the Executive and Judiciary.

The Parliament doesn't belong to Mr Obuku Oforji alone. We can call for his own arrest too!
What is sensitive inside JAMB documents that requires clearance? Is it an intelligence gathering report?

JAMB embezzled and doesn’t want the public to know about it.

“We’ve heard stories where snakes swallowed money. Maybe this time, a bigger creature has done the swallowing,” he said.

Go and tell Prisoners or people summoned for questioning at Efcc that one, as a government employee you are accountable to the government.

Stop it Boss. This opinion does not work in the federal democracy system we practice. As Nigeria, as USA.

The JAMB people expressed their fundamental human right to freedom.

You can't arrest someone for expressing his right to freedom. Had the lawmakers arrested them, the JAMB guys would have sued the lawmakers
When your boss demands your accountability, you can walk out on him. Just tell him that you're exercising your fundamental human right.

No need to arrest anyone.
They will be back in a few months to submit their budget.
Then we will see how that is possible without accountability.
What you said is like saying NA will wait for Customs to submit their budget. They generate income so if you hold onto their budget, nothing will come out of it.

What are you talking about, JAMB staffs walking out on Parliament, and you side JAMB Staffs

NO where can this be done or acceptable
I didn't want to reply that guy to avoid getting a ban. How someone would approve such insolence from JAMB officials towards our national parliament baffles me! The official could simply have declined certain questions. But to choose to walk out without being excused is a shame. I saw the video and it didn't look good at all.

So because JAMB is an institution under the law gives the lawmakers the right to arrest JAMB staff at every whims and caprices.

This is the problem with people like you, you hold a public office, paid with public money, entrusted with public money, but starts forming nonsense when the public ask you how you spent their money.
Injustice begot injustices. Whatever behaviour anywhere in any ministry is because of what they have seen the politicians doing. I didn't say that to support JAMB. But like the Bible says they shall be like people like Priest. The public sectors will mirror what the politicians do. It's just simple as that, so the politicians or lawmakers should not be acting like they are different. When citizens demand for media presence in some things they don't agree when they do go to close section. So they have thought JAMB also.
