Democracy has not failed, unless you were thinking it was some silver bullet, which it isn't.

I am focusing on us the people, who are supposed to practice the democracy that you are saying we have failed at, but which I disagree.

But you are not the children of the government that you elect, so why should your government feed you?

Last time I checked, the current rulers of Nigeria were elected by a majority of voters, so it can not be true that the majority of the populace doesn't want them especially if the majority of the populace did not bother to vote whom they want.

We had an election and the current government got the majority of the votes, so you lie when you claim they enshrined a dictatorship. But if you say democracy failed, I'll take it as an admission that you did not bother to vote, or can't stand that your preferred candidate lost.

For your information, my preferred candidate Peter Obi lost too, but a coup is not my preferred solution.

Listen, whether or not it is fake news or true, the coup did not succeed, infact, it was just a rumour of planning a coup, There was nothing actionable or concrete that had been done. No blood shed, no killings, no hijack, no movements, no deployment, NoTHiNg whatsoever!. If I were the President or anyone close to him I'd advise he mellow down on these policies that appear good on paper but inflicts suffering on the masses. Anyone planning coup in Nigeria is a F00l. There are some countries coup will not stand. Big countries like Nigeria, South Africa, Egypt. The president, no matter how much U dislike him is not unpopular. He is tremendously popular and has huge followership both among the elites and common people.
