GOVERNOR SANWO-OLU EQUIPS LNSC WITH INTELLIGENCE GATHERING TOOLS – FALADE WARNS AGAINST MISUSE.

The Lagos State Government has further strengthened community policing efforts as Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu provided the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps (LNSC) with new intelligence-gathering tools to enhance security operations across the state.

Speaking during the official distribution of the equipment to various LNSC commands, the General Manager of the Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Agency (LNSA), Prince Dr. Ifalade Oyekan, FISN, cautioned officers against complacency and the misuse of government property.

Prince Oyekan commended Governor Sanwo-Olu for his continuous investment in public safety and described the new equipment as a historic milestone and a first of its kind in the agency’s history. He emphasized that the tools are designed to improve the efficiency, responsiveness, and intelligence capacity of corps officers in tackling emerging security challenges across communities.

While charging officers to embrace innovation and come up with new ideas to improve service delivery, the General Manager reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to the safety of lives and property in Lagos State. He warned that there would be no tolerance for negligence or flimsy excuses in the discharge of official duties.

“This gesture from Mr. Governor comes with great responsibility. We must justify the government’s investment by ensuring these tools are used strictly for the purpose of enhancing intelligence and safeguarding our communities,” Prince Oyekan stated.

Lagos is ahead of Nigeria. We are already getting ready for state police….they re well kitted than even the average Nigerian police. I hope the FG will hasten the process of establishment of state police……this is the fastest solution to solving the security challenges we have faced with in the country today…..eko oni baje oo

Good, they should be intelligence driven, let them.enter communities without uniforms, infiltrate black spots, ghettos and Okada and trailer unions, they will get information. The ones gathering information should wear plain clothes and blend in. Good one.

Intelligence gathering is the key, Okada unions, trailer unions, transportation unions should be infiltrated, the criminals will be fished out.

Intelligence gathering equipment = spy pens. Then you advertise that you've equipped them with spy pens.

Why not just give them body cams??

Use this people to arrest people that litter environment with piss or sheet or pour dirty on road and charge each person arrested with 50k money should be use to make lagos clean

The most useless and most docile bicycle riding security operatives ever created in Lagos State. You just see them move around or sit down doing nothing,, you will never see them make any arrest or see them involved in settling any crisis.

I don't really know why Nigerian politicians always expect praise and worship from the populace for doing their jobs. It's like me expecting my boss to praise me for doing what he is paying me to do.

The day we start seeing these politicians as our staff rather than our bosses, that's when we will start moving forward as a country.
