Heard That Upwork Pays Really Well — Who Here Is More Experienced on Upwork?

Nairaland and my website had been giving me all the clients I needed, so much that I got a bit too comfortable and lazied up with my Upwork verification 😅

I actually opened my Upwork account last year but didn’t focus on verifying it until recently.
Well, guess what? I finally submitted my ID yesterday, and boom! I’m now officially verified on Upwork!

I couldn’t wait to share the good news with my husband who was out. 🥰

I’ve heard that Upwork pays really well, so I’m curious, who here is more experienced on Upwork?
Please share your experiences, tips, or advice. I’d love to learn from you!

I can proudly say I’ve been working from home for three years now and it’s been such a blessing knowing I can pay my bills without waiting for a monthly salary.

By the way, it was my husband who introduced me to the world of remote work, and I’m so glad I took that leap of faith and quit my low-income job to focus on my skills. Today, I can confidently say I’ve grown so much and I know my next big deal is just around the corner. 🤝

This is not the first time I am seeing that Whatsapp Screenshot.. the person posted it as his own..

If you are here to use that particular screenshot to advertise upwork.. own it with your chest.. rather than stealing intellectual property

Don't be too excited. Upwork is indeed over saturated. If you had achieved this in 2017 like I did. I would have congratulated you because you will indeed start making real money. Indians have indeed messed up the site.

Upwork is awesome. Just apply for long term contracts, those marked more than 6 months. Also, never apply for a project that has mentioned interest in freelancers from a location or timezone different from yours.

Lastly only apply for those with payment verified and some good thousands in spending.
Best projects to apply for are those with less than 5 applicants. If you see 20 to 50, just leave it and save your connects.

NEVER USE AI in writing a proposal oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo. Not even that their UMA.
