Why Are World Leaders Not Congratulating Paul Biya On Election "Victory"? by TechCapon(op): 12:46pm On Oct 31, 2025
Since 92 year old Paul Biya won his presidential election for another 7 year term, I haven't seen world leaders congratulating him on election victory as the normal tradition among world leaders after any election. By the time he finishes his 7 year term he'll be 99 years old. My question is why are leaders not congratulating the man?

What would their congratulatory victory do for the people of his country?

As much as I can't wrap my head around a Paul Biya as Cameroonian president at his age, your take about "World leaders" not congratulating him smacks of low self-esteem! What's with the congratulations!

Does the non congratulations change anything? Does it make Cameroon any worse or better in any way?

The fate of Cameroon is in the hands of Camerounians and obviously they have accepted their fate. Did you see a massive protest like the Tanzanians?

Africans need to shed this our validation-seeking mentality from outside! You think if nobody congratulates the US President, he will lose sleep over it? Does that make him any less a president?

Abeg make we hear word!

But Cameroonians were mocking Tinubu during when he won the 2023 election, they called him an old man but see wetin them go elect now.
