The Federal High Court in Abuja has sacked Rep Abubakar Gummi, for defecting from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to All Progressives Congress (APC).

Gummi, represents Gummi/Bukkuyum Federal Constituency of Zamfara in the House of Representatives,

Justice Obiora Egwuatu, in a judgment, restrained the Speaker, House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, from further recognising Gummi as member representing Gummi/ Bukkuyum Federal Constituency.

The Appeal Court cannot go against past judgement of the Supreme Court. They will only delay!

The Appeal Court will simply do nothing until 2027. However, the Speaker will simply say the matter is before an Appeal Court and keep him there.

The constitution states that if there is no problems in the party and a member who was elected on the platform of the party defected, the defected member automatically lost the position but in a situation of a tatered party like PDP, defected members have nothing to loose or fear because it's clear and glaring.
