sulaak:This has nothing to do with any minister. This genocide allegation is a ruse by the US. Its an excuse and a punishment for Nigeria supporting Palestinia/Gaza. FG should have been careful though with expressing support for palestinia, Nigeria has nothing to gain from it. Should have remained neutral like the Saudis. The same thing happened when south africa supported gaza, boom US suddenly alleges white genocide in south africa. Same template. |

Saturnalia:Iraq Afghanistan Etc Fell into America's trap by allowing insecurity and terrorism get out of hand. All these years we have been shouting that APC government should eradicate this worsening security crisis, a lot of you described us as bitter opposition. But the figures don't lie... Nigeria is boiling and losing the war on terrorism. This is all America needs to invade! Put your house in order, una say no! You would rather spend billions building coastal roads, campaigning for second term, running after Sowore, and giving "repented" terrorists VIP treatments. You all forget the saying... Na rat wey dey inside house dey tell the ones inside bush say food don done. |

HacheNoire:Laughing that hard at something not funny, a sensitive matter shows your type and level of reasoning. Firstly, he said a country of concern and told his people to look into it. And you start your rambling with a question of data. How do you think? Before he would bring such thing up his people must have raise the alarm to get him to give attention to it. Now, he said he's concerned cos they now have his attention on the matter. With them getting the attention now and getting him to give them the go ahead. It now they would be able to carry out extensive research, gets the funds needed for it and penetrate Nigeria deeply more than you'd imagine. I'm sure Tinubu will be highly alarmed himself now. The worst he wouldn't pray for is they find him as a leftist kind of president. Secondly, you saying Trump is in no position to do that. That's you being in self-denial or just utter ignorance of decades of reality. When there is so many countries in the world, one would have to lead them all. That is what the USA have been since the end of the second world war. Even China knows the USA is the leader, more reason why they think now that they are the second largest economy in the world, they can aspire to take the forefront. And they have kicked on their vision on that. Which I doubt they would reach. You mentioning Switzerland, New Zealand, UAE. They don't even have nuclear power and Switzerland did not even fight in the two world wars. So the US and POTUS Trump have the position to enter such matter and take steps as necessary to curb it. |

[quote author=Lukgaf post=137309904]It is hypocrisy to say that only Christians are affected by the insecurity in Nigeria. Let’s be objective, please! Then go and question D. Trump or raise alarm for insecurity in Nigeria |

This development is a damning reflection of the Tinubu administration’s failure to protect Nigerians and maintain international credibility. The U.S. decision to blacklist Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern over Christian persecution is not mere diplomacy; it is a serious indictment of government inaction. Thousands have been killed or displaced in recurring religious violence across the Middle Belt and North-West, yet the government’s response remains timid and confused. “Renewed Hope” means little when citizens are murdered in their worship places and justice remains a myth. The consequences are grave, including strained relations with key partners, possible loss of foreign aid, and a deepening image of Nigeria as unstable and unsafe. This failure to guarantee religious freedom erodes trust, fractures unity, and signals moral decay at the highest levels. If Tinubu’s government truly seeks legitimacy, it must stop defending failure and start defending lives. Silence in the face of bloodshed is complicity, not leadership. |

When UAE, Saudi Arabia and IRAn are sponsoring chaos aimed at killing infidels (christians) in Nigeria. A christian Nation must also come to the aid of chrristians to resist and counter the killings. |

mrblessed:I think you didn't read what Trump said. Trump agreed these are attacks by terrorists not State sponsored. Trump knows Nigeria has been going through this shit for over two decades. It's possible America is behind the latest coup to further distabilise the continent. I don't trust those Caucasians. If Nigeria is a country of particular interest because terrorists are killing people, what is the US going to do about it? Surely the political will has been weak to be honest. Tinubu talked about state police and forest guards but nothing. The Government needs some pressure from the West to be honest. Negotiating and paying terrorists was bad enough then you have the issue of spending billions on the so called repentant killers who will end up becoming informants for terror group. Both the federal and State Government are not serious. The US knows what they are doing. They know there isn't any Christian genocide but there's an hidden agenda but I'm sure the Government will sit tight |

dominique:1stlt Yes there is a Christian genocide in certain parts of Nigeria, Like plateau, Kaduna and benue. The attacks around the North are not from same groups and have different MO and Objectives so u can't say what is happening in katsina is exactly same experience in plateau, Kaduna, benue and predominant Christians areas around the North. Some areas have deliberate Christian genocide happening there. u cannot dismiss that because somewhere in katsina people in general or Muslims are being killed indiscriminately by a different group with a different agenda and MO. Some people are waiting for 50,000 Christians to be killed against 10 000 Muslims to declare there is an actual genocide. That a crazy analogy. |

Lukgaf:I cannot see only Christians being killed on the statement made. We can also agree that the killers identify as Muslims anyway. Christain form majority of those slaughter and killed in the North, and only those without conscience or the fear of God will deny this. A student was stoned to death in the North for asking Muslims not to turn a schools whatsapp group into a religious group, and in a secular no perpetrator was brought to book. There are sharia courts in Abuja, the capital of Nigeria, and they are now auctioning properties of non-muslims in a so-called secular state. Trump has once again proven to be a great leader far more than any of our current leader could ever be. |

Angelfrost:Kpom! This government is full of amateurs. I would advise Tinubu to go talk to Obasanjo and other people with some relationships. He doesn't have the links to do this. Money is not everything in this world. |

Lukgaf:It's not hypocrisy, sir. The other religion birthed the monster that's consuming people all over the place. So if members of that religion is affected in their madness, that's a family affair. But they should stop killing Christians for crying out loud. There's no Christian terrorist group anywhere in the world. |

SIRTee15:See this one...! Civil war wey dem don already arrange and map out finish. The recent threats of coup that led to Tinubu frantically running around to change security chiefs was just a very minor and subtle warning. The fact is... Two things are all Trump needs to start a war here: 1. Insecurity that goes out of hand (already happening) 2. Growing discontent and disunity among citizens. Bottom line... Tinubu needs to seriously sit up! It's no long business as usual. The worst part is that majority of his citizens are not and have never been solidly behind him. |
