You must be an illiterate to think USA has eye on Nigeria resources. What resources is in Nigeria thats not in the US in multiple folds. Mk una stop this ur usual ignorant rhetoric now. Tinubu must be sweating under his pants now with this trump post. He must find a away to arrange for a meeting with trump

Nigeria is a sovereign nation, and no external power has the authority to dictate to her. The killing of any individual is deeply condemnable, and the government must act decisively to end such violence.

However, suggesting that Donald Trump or any foreign leader will determine Nigeria’s fate only fuels the fantasies of online echo chambers and keypad warriors. No one dictates to the United States on how to manage its drug crisis or gun violence; Nigeria equally deserves the same respect and autonomy.
so let’s stop acting like we need foreign approval to fix our own problems.

If the Muslims don't want to be killed, they can call on Turkey or Saudi Arabia help.

Over two million Nigerians are in IDP camps. I despise the racist Donald Trump and his supporters, but Tinubu and his APC coon have failed to protect Christians from the Fulani militants' invasion.
I appreciate the honesty. If we had more people like you, maybe it wouldn't have gotten to this level that Trump has put us into.

I've been crying and shouting on Nairaland that Northern Nigeria's Christians have been consistently killed. Interestingly, the megachurches' pastors in the south are silent.

Trump rest, we know u no too reason black man like that. whatever your motive, just be careful before u start a civil war with no end here in naija.
The one u guys orchestrated in Ukraine has entered road to no end.
and he better be careful b4 southern christians start using genocide as reason to claim asylum in usa; by the time they flood yankee, nobody will tell Trump to reverse his statement.

If Trump is really worried about christian genocide, he should look into Iraq and Sudan where deliberate and calculated genocidal attacks on christian community are ongoing for over a year now.
When would you people call on Nigerian elites to stop the brutal killings in the country? I don't get it. Is it Trump that allows terrorists to showoff their victims and loots on TikTok?

Why blame him now? When terrorists were ransacking communities across Plateau, Benue, Southern Kaduna etc, you people kept quiet!

Stop complaining. Trump will do what he has said.

Nigeria has far more value to the US than Sudan. The cost benefit analysis is more sweet to them. They will check if it is worth it and if so, expect some moves. Tinubu thinks he is a master of propaganda and APC thinks they sabi talk. They should realise that they are kids when it comes to such.
Still bitter election Losers should keep deceiving themselves.

Make Yankee in their hypocrisy sanction Naija, na still u common man go still suffer for am.

No there is no hypocrisy
Their position is

Muslims can kill themselves their problem
we associate and identify with Christians and will fight for them

I don't have to agree with Trump because I know it is just a pretext but it is not hypocrisy

There have been specific incidents where Christians have been targeted, probably it looks like that because those are majority Christian areas e.g Benue, Plateau Southern Kaduna. And those incidents are genocides whether it is about Christianity or land can be debated

There are also areas where Muslims are victims no doubt

But they can be separated and analysed distinctly

There are some incidents of religious cleansing and land grabbing from Christians by Muslims
There are no such incidents where Christians have taken land from Muslims

Your words are neither here nor there...!

Would Trump be saying such things if Nigeria had swiftly and adequately addressed the shocking spate of killings and terrorist attacks?!!

You think you can hide the figures like we used to before Social media exploded?!!

Lol... America even has more facts than your very own useless DSS.

Of course, more Muslims are killed daily in the North, but do you think that matters to Trump?!!

If Tinubu had nipped this worsening insecurity in the bud from the day he took over, would America be here talking about genocide?!!
There is no single religious groupnthat has not suffered this insecurity plaguing the country, why is he singling out Christians? As much as I am aware that Trump using media to push a narrative, what I am worried about is to what ends exactly? What exactly is their mission? Do they want to invade the country to bring "peace" like they did to Libya and Iraq? If these Christian genocide alarmists had raised this alarm in the late 2000s when Boko haram were actually targeting churches, I would have understood and applauded them but now that more Muslims than Christians have been affected by the raging insecurity in the north, they woke up and started yelling Christian genocide and you see nothing off about it?

Why exclude christians alone, despite what Muslims are going through in zamfara, birnin gwari, kebbi, Sokoto, Borno, yobe etc but because the Christians are hypocrites reporting one side of the story to suit an agenda. Let the Amerika come and start bombing the country, our concern is when they later create chaos, we don't want narrative to change.
I already mentioned Muslims in my post, this isn’t about excluding anybody. It’s about not letting anyone weaponize suffering for an agenda. If we want real change, stop the selective outrage and hold perpetrators accountable across the board.

Where and when did Nigeria support Palestine?

I recall the Foreign Minister refusing to take prisoners from the USA and then insulting American official
Just this september, Nigeria lead by the VP voted for UN resolution in support of palestinia leader against US/Israel. There are several resolution nigeria voted for before then against US/Israel. We should be wise and abstain from this vote like india does many times.

Good one. Force the government to get serious.

What makes it believable to the investigating Americans is the fact that many Christian villages in the middle belt have been taken over and renamed by the invaders. Why is the government not making efforts to resettle the rightful owners?

Some people complain about Southern Borno too. I don't know much about that.

Why not ? Nigeria has plenty Crude Oil they want to steal to clear their enormous & generational debt.

The genocide that is currently ongoing in Sudan is not enough to declare it a “Country of Interest” because Sudan does not have Crude Oil they can steal.

This is why I urge Tinubu to quickly embrace Putin and Mother Russia if he really wants to rule till 2031.

It may be dangerous to be Amerika's enemy, but to be America's friend is fatal - they will fvck you up when you least expect it.
Who have more oil reservehuh?
US or Nigeriahuh?
And stop rushing to punch your keyboard next time, learn first.... Sudan has crude oil, don't mislead people

Destabilizing Nigeria under any guise will cause unintended consequences.

It has been stated that 7000 Christians have been killed by Islamic terrorists in Nigeria in 2025.

You should be the one to give us the data of Muslims who have been killed by the sect.

Well, let's be honest... It was bound to get to this.

As much as the real truth is obscured, one thing that we can't deny is the worsening state of terrorism and religious radicalisation going on in that North.

I said it early last year that if care is not taken, the entire North will implicate this country... Some of you thought or felt I was talking too much.

What Trump is saying LOUD and CLEAR to Tinubu and those ass-licking him is simple...

Put your house in order!
Over 2 years into your tenure should be enough, not to completely eradicate terrorism, but show serious statement of intent by drastically diminishing them to the point of global commendation.
Rather than spending Billions trying to win a second term or churning out statistics to support shady economic policies, prove to the world that you know what you are doing about security of lives and properties.
Thank you sir for your honesty.

At least, we still have honest people on Nairaland.

No be today o. The killings have been there since Buhari's first tenure. That man wrecked this country!

Of course, everything is off about it...!

America and Trump are clearly sizing up Nigeria for the taking.

The reasons are there for all to see... The very same reasons they did such in countries like Afghanistan and Iraq.

The main loopholes they need are plenty here, thanks to poor Leadership on our part:

1. Growing and worsening Insecurity.
2. Religious extremism and intolerance among citizens.
3. Anti-government protests online and offline.

Tinubu has now been officially WARNED!

If he likes he should continue sleeping and touring France. The Invaders are already circling.

The first and most important step is to fix this national security mess, and it has to be done FAST!
