Dear President Donald Trump,

What is happening in Nigeria is not a religious war. Rather, It's an ethnic war. It's Fulani bandits versus Nigeria.

A prominent Fulani leader - Sheik Gumi - alluded to this on live TV - Channels TV - sometime in 2021-2022. An abstract from his interview goes thus - "A Fulani man cannot set foot in Shinkafi town in Sokoto state, yet the Emir of Shinkafi is a Fulani man."

I believe there is a renewed jihad by the Fulani bandits against the Nigerian state starting with the north.

The Fulani bandits want to conquer the north all over again and will kill anyone - christian or muslim - who is NOT of their stock.

They did it first in the early 19th century led by Usman Dan Fodio in what is popularly known today as the Fulani Jihad of 1804. It was not total at the time as some parts of the north were spared.

This time around they seek TOTAL CONTROL especially as precious rare earth minerals which you, Donald Trump, can do anything for are being discovered all over the place. The quest for control cannot be more compelling than at this time.

Except you want to be mischievous and bitter that our president has called your bluff(abstaining from 2 UNGAs) and is setting our country on the right track economically(our Naira is appreciating and our FOREIGN RESERVE is RISING) against all odds, I see no reason why you should tag Nigeria a country of particular concern as regards killing of christians when indeed what is happening is an ETHNIC WAR.

During the administration of President Buhari, there were worse killings, yet the United States government turned a blind eye.

Please don't bow to lobbyists who want to bring down the current Nigerian government using 'killing of christians' as an excuse.

That is exactly what the Fulani bandits want - to regain power at the centre at all cost. They are not happy with the reforms instituted by this government since 2023 as it has given all and sundry equal opportunity and a level-playing field as against the undue, unfair advantages they enjoy when they are in power.

Rather, you can help us proffer lasting solutions to the problem. As it stands our military may have been COMPROMISED hence the difficulty in winning the war.
