I understand that Nigeria is among the 12 countries designated as one of particular Concern.

The designation of Nigeria is founded on outright falsehoods and wholesale misinformation.

Terrorists and bandits in Nigeria kill and kidnap their victims irrespective of their religious beliefs.

The records are self evident in the last 15 years.Looking at the Muslim/Christian ratio in Nigeria,it’s technically impossible for one faith to persecute another.Nigeria is a Lion and Tiger situation and not a Lion and a Zebra configuration.Trump was misinformed by anarchists and lackeys and apprentices of neocolonialism who aimed to benefit from their seeds of division,divisiveness and discontent.This particular weapon raised against this country shall never prosper.Nigeria,like all nations battling terrorism,needs support and assistance to tackle its security challenges.

While we cannot in all honesty wish away the cruel and evil killing of minorities in the north central states of Kwara, Benue, Plateau, southern kaduna etc, i strongly believe that the recent interest of the Trump administration is based on economic agenda and nothing altruistic. In this regard, I don’t think Donald Trump was misinformed.

Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.

Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.

So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country.

In Orsu, Imo State, Nigeria, ongoing violence and insecurity, often attributed to criminal elements and alleged members of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its security wing, the Eastern Security Network (ESN), have severely impacted the area, including religious activities.
While there have been reports of general destruction of buildings and a climate of fear where attending church services is difficult, a specific, major church burning event in Orsu has not been widely reported in recent news (late 2024 - 2025).
Earlier incidents reported in the media include:
In September 2021, an Anglican priest, Mr. Emeka Merenu, was murdered in the compound of St Andrew's Anglican Church, Ihitte-Ukwa in the Orsu LGA, and his car was burned.
In January 2021, reports mentioned that over eight buildings, including a church, were allegedly burned down in the general Orsu area amidst clashes.
More recent reports from March 2025 indicate that the high level of insecurity has made attending church services risky, leading many people to stay home.
The area has suffered from significant violence and arson attacks on properties over the last few years, making it a challenging environment for the local population.

If the intervention of US will bring a stop to killing most especially in Kogi, Benue, Jos and recent killings in Kwara, then we welcome them. But the intervention shouldn't go beyond eliminating the Fulani militias and the radical Islamic terrorists.

Don't hide under this to insult our able president. He is still the best at moment trying to solve divers problems including the ones ipob/ESN created that resulted into killing many igbos.

The truth is that if obi were to be president by now, every sector will be worse by now even his mushroom container economy tricks will not work.
