Planned Convention: PDP NWC Suspends National Secretary, Legal Adviser, others by etokhana(op): 2:31pm On Nov 01, 2025

DECISION OF THE @OfficialPDPNig NWC AT ITS 608th MEETING HELD ON Saturday, November 1, 2025.

National Secretary, Sen. Samuel Anyanwu, National organizing Secretary, Hon. Umar Bature, National Legal Adviser, Kamaldeen Ajibade, SAN, Deputy National Legal Adviser, Barr. Okechukwu Osuoha, Suspended for one month and referred to the National Disciplinary Committee.

During this period of the suspension, they cease to function in their respective capacities.

In the case of the National Secretary, Pursuant to Section 36(2) of our Party Constitution as amended in 2017, the Deputy National Secretary, Hon. Arc. Setonji Koshoedo shall act as the National Secretary.

In the case of the National Legal Adviser and the Deputy National Legal Adviser, the National Director of Legal Services is hereby directed to oversees the activities of the Department.

They are in the minority, that's the problem.
They will go to Omotosho again ASAP, get an exparte.

Give or take, the Convention MUST hold this month.

PDP has no choice.

The tenure of this NWC expires this month, meaning the Convention must hold or the tenure of this EXCO rolls for the next 3 months via caretaker status. However, this must get NEC backing and a 21-day notice ought to be issued by the NWC which must also have Anyanwu's signature. Again, even if Anyanwu is out of the way, in the next three months, attention has shifted to Primaries not Convention, so it's now or never.

The PDP played itself by showing so much respect to the FCT man even though everyone knows he deserves some plaudits on how he kept the party afloat. However, his intention as at today is to collapse the Party at all costs.

So, this is the only way. Appeal the judgement, get a Stay, conduct the Convention whilst others go meet the disciplinary committee. The FCT people know it's a way to knock them off so my best guess is, collect framed signatures and suspend the legitimate NWC, go to Court and get a backing and let the crisis fester in Court. The PDP is only been bullish now because efforts have gone into the Convention (both material and otherwise), the fate of the Governors hang on the Convention.

The biggest threat to Nigerias democracy as at today is they highly corrupt judiciary

We have to be holding the judiciaries accountable for every corruption going on. The executive and the legislative bodies alone take the blames while the main body supposed to be independent sits tights and pretend like nothing's happening.
I know surely that one day Nigerians will be free from these blood sucking vampires called judiciaries.

Simple and short.. These guys work day and night to make sure this party is sabotaged by openly cahooting with oppositions. what can be more antiparty than that?! Same people turn around to take a party to court to stop a convention?! Do you know what a convention mean.. it's like stopping a swearing in of a new administration or stopping an election from taking place all for your selfish pecuniary gains..

The problem with that party is that all of them in one way or the other even those disguised as leaders are working for selfish interests.. there is no united front to work in the interest of all and salvage the soul of the party.

People said atiku was the problem of pdp, atiku has left and pdp is still in disarray.
Honestly, I want every pdp governor, senator and house of representative to defect to APC since pdp cannot expel wike.
As long as pdp cannot expel wiki for his blatant anti party activities, then pdp deserves to die.

No wonder Tinubu is treating Wike like a virgin new wife.
The damage he has done to the party is unprecedented.
I believe this suspension will hold to bring some form of sanity to the party. The damage that has been done by Wike and his co-travellers is enough to call it a day in the party.

Without suspending or expelling Wike, they are joking. They will probably end up having no presidential candidate in the next election if they cant summon the balls to do that.

I've said it over and over again that PDP has leadership problems and they keep blaming Tinubu for their ineptitude.

At this time in the history of the party, you suspended these officers when convention is closed by?

And you think they would not go to court to scuttle everything?

Nobody, no leader is respected in PDP. No one can say enough is enough and would be listened to.

All the blames go to Tinubu bcoz he wanted a one party state. Blaming your enemies for your stupidity.

Just watch how the convention would hit the rock and more Govs would find their ways to APC. Damagun leadership has damaged and damagun the party.
