[quote author=ALTERNATEID post=137317794]While we cannot in all honesty wish away the cruel and evil killing of minorities in the north central states of Kwara, Benue, Plateau, southern kaduna etc, i strongly believe that the recent interest of the Trump administration is based on economic agenda and nothing altruistic. In this regard, I don’t think Donald Trump was misinformed.

Trump recently placed a 15% tariff on Nigeria and the country responded by banning the importation of 25 certain items from the country. The Tinubu administration has also been working on increasing local refining of petroleum products. Recently, a 15% tax on PMS importation was introduced to further discourage importation of petroleum products. This has seriously affected European and American refineries which are owned by Trump and his big oil buddies. They are not happy that Nigeria is prioritizing energy independence at the detriment of American and European oil companies.

Again, Nigeria’s recent romance with BRICS is unsettling the Trump administration. The BRICS countries are planning to issue a new currency so as to sidestep the US dollars and Nigeria has signed up to be a part of the BRICS monetary union. Trump had vowed to make sure this does not happen. The Yuan - Naira currency swap between China and Nigeria that has recently helped to strengthen the Naira is also another source of concern to the US.

So, a combination of all these issues plus Nigeria’s stance against the GAZA genocide is why Donald Trump is targeting the Nigeria government. If they can’t control Nigeria, they will do everything possible to destroy the country. [/quote

This is the summary and the bitter election losers know this as well. Its not as if all those making noise online genuinely killed about those being killed. Where is the sympathy they have shown to the victims of ipob violence? To them everything should should go bad since their axgxuxlxu god can't be president. Nothing they wished for against the Country has ever happened. Even this too will not stand.

How does this improve security of lives and properties in Nigeria. Nigeria have lived on lies, deceptive unity and outright mismanagement of our diversity. Bringing in sharia legal system in a secular country is contradictory and a time bomb in waiting. The US may have chosen to ignored the brazen killings in the north for their own reasons. What is our reason for not being truthful with the issues of mass killing in the north? To whose interest is it? Why can't any one be prosecuted on religious killing like the killing of Deborah? Why can't the government publish and reveal the identities of those financing terrorism in Nigeria given by a foreign country? US is free to select want they want to do, what is Nigeria doing or want to do?

IPOB is an example of such groups killing Christians. The only difference is that the lives of those Christians they kill doesn't matter because the victims loved the killers. When Christians are killing Christians in the SE it's okay but it's wrong if moslems are killing Christians. I'm not sure you can win this argument since IPOB is there killing people in their region. The moslem community especially MURIC should tender detailed information about all these to some politicians in the US. Nigeria isn't the only country facing terrorism issues on earth
Do you understand the word "Genocide"? Do understand the word "mass burial"?
If your MUMURIC fail to magnify with verifiable facts of the killing of Moslem in the East, then don't blame the Christians for magnifying the persecution and killing of their members in the the north.
Let keep pandering with insecurity, we go see where it will lead to "your own' perceived country to. Do a little reading on Yugoslavia.

Like I said, we have issues that can’t be wished away. The killings in the north central is totally unacceptable. However, the US should be providing support to the Nigerian government and not planning to wage war against a sovereign country.

See, we all saw how US intervention ended in Iraq, Afghanistan, Sudan, Libya, Syria etc. Those countries are now fully under the control of extremists with some not even having a recognized central government with warlords controlling territories.

So, how exactly will Nigeria’s case be different from what happened to the other countries? Boots on ground forever to maintain peace? Or perhaps, a permanent US military base in Nigeria? Is that the plan to get a foothold on the Sahel after Russia influenced Niger, Mali and Burkina Faso to expel US military? Is this what we want for our country?

Respectfully speaking, I have guided your thoughts and believe you aren’t a child, putting this question on google or ChatGPT shouldn’t be hard for you.
I don't do AI at my age, I lived in North America therefore few things about the US haven visited the country twice from Canada.

We only think of US coming to Nigeria because of our oil, US is the largest oil producer in the world followed by Saudi Arabia.
They also have the best crude oil in the world as their Sweet Crude oil is ranked number one while our BLCO is not even in top 5.

The US economy is valued at $27tn while our economy is valued at $360bn that's below the economy of California.

US spend billions of dollars in aid annually in Nigeria, while most of the special medicines that has sustained many Nigerians are given to us free of charge by the US government.

Bill Gates alone has spent over $14bn in Nigeria in the last 10 years alone, so tell me what and what you think the US are coming to get in Nigeria.
