Charlie Kirk's comments about black pilots can never be defended in any context. There is nothing like an unqualified pilot in the USA. All pilots in the USA must have minimum flying hours.

Charlie Kirk also blasted MLK.

Charlie Kirk defended Gun rights by minimizing gun deaths to a statistic. He didn't see himself becoming part of the statistics.

I find the take of many Nigerians on this matter sad and disappointing. The way many jump to defend the racists who despise them is just lamentable.

It is a case of ignorance and lack of exposure. I didn't know what racism truly was until I travelled out to Europe and America. I knew the definition of racism but didn't have a clear understanding until I witnessed it clearly.

Furthermore, a lack of political education too causes such ignorance. I grew up watching CNN and reading the economist from my dad. The average Nigerian can't tell liberal politics from conservative politics

Along with Nat Geo, the Economist was one of my favorites/.

My sister, it is a pity the way our people think. You point out the ignorance, yes, but many who should know better on account of their exposure still think the same way, sadly.
