‎A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun, Falilat Oyetunji popularly known as Ero Arike, has publicly threatened members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), saying she owns a gun and could shoot anyone who comes for her.

‎In a viral video circulating on Facebook, Ero Arike accused certain PDP members of insulting her intelligence while accepting gifts from her. Visibly angry in the clip, she lashed out at what she described as hypocrisy and warned PDP members to stay away.

‎“You say I’m illiterate yet you collected two cows and a bag of yam flour from me,” she said in the video.

‎ “It shall not be well with PDP members. Don’t you dare come near me. I am not scared of you. The position you hold today ,you didn’t work for it.

“I have a gun. In fact, every night there are often gunshots near my storey building. I use it to protect and secure myself. I carry it everywhere. If anyone think they can come for me, I live in a storey building ; I’ll spray that person with bullets from upstairs. In fact, I’ll spray the neighbourhood around. I don’t send anyone.”

‎Osun Defender reports that the APC chieftain has been outspoken in recent weeks about party affairs and the distribution of local government funds. She had earlier warned APC leaders against endorsing a candidate she described as questionable ahead of the 2026 governorship primary.

‎The latest video, however, marked a shift to a direct, personal threat against PDP members and has generated widespread online backlash. Social media users and political observers in Osun are calling on security agencies to investigate the apparent threat.

‎At the time of filing this report, the Osun State Police Command has not issued a public response to Ero Arike’s threats.

She should be arrested or invited for questioning.

1. Does she have a license for her gun? If yes, she's safe, if not, she's a bandit. And we don't encourage banditry in the South West.
2. Did she threaten to spray her entire neighborhood with bullets? If no, she is safe. If yes, she should be charged to court for being a threat to her neighbors and to public safety.
3. Did she say she goes everywhere with her gun? If no, she is safe, if yes, she should be charged to court for unauthorized movement of firearm. Because even if she is licensed to own a firearm, she cannot be licensed to move around with it. She is not a service personnel.
4. What type of firearm is it? If it is a licensed pump action, she is safe, if it is an unlicensed pump action, AK, pistol, locally fabricated a.k.a shakabula or awka made, rocket launcher, GPMG, handheld grenade, then sorry is her case.
5. While at it, it will be nice for EFCC to verify her source of income. How is she able to finance two cows and a bag of yam flour? If she has a legit source of income that is able to finance these philanthropy, she's safe, if not......

I hope that the APC led federal government will not try to shield her from the wrath of the law if she's found culpable.
