Trump's Narcissistic, autocratic nuisance and questionable mental state of mind has been questioned by many professionals yet he is same person now hero to some Nigerians.

Especially the saboteurs and haters of our nation from a certain region. Really obvious many Nigerians also have mental health problems.

It's quite different now. Back then, late President Buhari had a well-respected Christian vice president who related well with the Western world. But now, Christians no longer have a voice - no one to speak for them in the presidency
Wow, was Buhari’s eight year tenure not the same one you guys criticised and ridiculed throughout despite the vice president being a christian? You guys never ever said the regime was fair, that the vice president represented Christians well enough and gave them a voice back then o!

The migrant crisis in Libya and the Nigeria experience

The drive for survival and for greener pastures has continued to force millions of West African young men and women to gamble with death in attempts to cross over to Europe and other parts of the world. This quest to escape poverty, hunger, unemployment and insecurity, among other reasons, caused a major segment of Nigeria’s population to seek alternatives for better livelihood prospects for themselves and their families.

Those seeking economic survival see irregular migration as the best alternative, given the difficulty and resources involved in migrating through regular and legitimate routes. In many instances, very few of the original number who set out on these dangerous journeys live to tell their stories. While many regularly drown in the Mediterranean Sea, many also die in the deserts, and others are sold as slaves in a modern slave market.

Most of the victims of this trade are from West Africa. Many of them leave home with expectations of getting to Europe and other destinations perceived to have better economic prospects for them, but they end up in the slave merchant nets in North Africa. The victims are put in camps and sold in open markets in Libya, while the international community watches in silence. The geographical location of Libya renders it a transit route for migrants journeying to Italy and many other parts of Europe.

Is the question asked by Trump about the killing of Christians in Nigeria true or false?

Let someone with clear conscience answer this question.

The entire world know what's going on in Nigeria, just that we're black skin that's why majority tend to look away. It is now or never to fight these evil monsters amongst us.

There is no such thing as “long-running clashes between farmers and herders” in Nigeria. What we are experiencing is violence perpetrated by Fulani militants, armed herders, bandits, and kidnappers who are taking innocent lives across the country. The Nigerian Constitution clearly states that no one has the right to take another person’s life. Therefore, if the government truly knows what it is doing, it should decisively pursue and bring these killers to justice, rather than giving flimsy excuses or turning a blind eye while citizens are being murdered without cause.

They should stop poking their noses so that killing continue. How will you feel if your entire family were among those killed on the eve of Christmas. What have your government done in order to stop killing of Christians if since you so much trust them or you are defending them just because that is you party. The lives of Nigerians is more important than any party you are supporting.

Moslems are probably the biggest victims of terrorist and bandits menace in the North. All this 'projection' you people are engaging in, because you have ulterior motives, is distasteful and sad to witness for those of us who live in Nigeria and are aware of events first hand.

There is no organised, strategically tiered and consistent effort towards "Christian genocide" in Nigeria.

Yes Christians are dying and that, as a Christian, I condemn. Yet such does not blind me to the reality of how the killers murder their own fellow moslems more.

The terrorist and bandits killings/insecurity in Nigeria is so much more nuanced than the narrative the USA, always operating with hidden agendas, is trying to push under a President who sees himself as a messiah ordained to pursue the enshrinement of Christendom globally.

There are issues related to farmers and herder tussle for land specifically stemming from how Fulanis believe violence and killings can help them take over the land of others be they Christian or Moslem. We are seeing this happening in North Central and Kwara today.

There are issues to do with pastoralist, now armed casually with AK47, fleeing southward to escape desertification and then engaging in opportunist crimes like kidnapping since they have AK47 and others don't.

We could go on all day. Bottom line is that the issue is complex and cannot be reduced to the simplistic "Christian genoncide" cop-out the USA , under Trump and his Christian band of extremists, wishes to use burnishing their image as the champions of Christian nationhood worldwide.

Nigeria , by omission or commission, should not abet or be part of their plot. We have put own challenges and should face those challenges alone and steer clear of being the losing pawns of others in a much bigger game.
Who is doing the killing… same Muslims … what did the Christians do to them ?… They have chased all the Christians to IDP camps … and now they are facing Muslims who are never quick to condemn their atrocities… since there are less Christians to wipe out .. and you want to compare

This is where the real issues are, Nigeria has bot been able to curtail or stop the killings, it is time for a more disciplined, skilled force to come and stop it

Cheap emotions!

Tinubu is married to a pastor.

If there is one thing Tinubu cannot do, it is to oppress or intentionally harm Christians in Nigeria.

You and I know that any first lady is, in the real sense, more influential than a Vice President, in governance. So, leave the Osinbajo narrative.

Many of us talking up and down, will never accept to marry, let alone live with a wife that is not of the same faith as us.

Nigeria is facing insecurity and our leadership must urgently to rise to it. It has nothing to do with religious or ethnic genocide. That is a big fallacy!

Come to think of it, why is the Trump genocide narrative coming just after Tinubu responded with ban on some US imports in reaction to his tariff slam on Nigeria?

Make una use una tongue take count una teeth.

Hypocrite like you will look away from killings of Christians in Nigeria but protest against Israel in Gaza.
It's Muslims and Islamists that have been killing and warring through out the world.
Islamists will fight Buddhist, Jews, Christians , traditionalists and also fight themselves.

Is it the people from that region that invited Mike Arnold for a fact finding mission? Certainly, it may also be the people from that region that reported the administration of Goodluck Jonathan to the US in 2014. Carry your cross abeg.

Even Jonathan whom Baba Akande called a kindergarten president was not humiliated like this local champion of a man.

Robenna:

I know Nigeria does not have the "oneness spirit" and you actually confirm my point. Which is that lack of "oneness spirit, which many others too lack globally, will never prevent a nation full of critical, solutions-driven and pragmatic thinkers from rising above their lack of "oneness" to work together when necessary in the interest of the greater good of all Nigerians.

Northern leader (at political, cultural and religious levels of leadership) are 100% the cause of the prolonged and debilitating religious fundamentalist and bandit terrorism troubling the North and Nigeria by extension.

The day all Nigerians can join hands to put the squeeze on them, as the USA now hints it will do with sanctions against several Northern governors and individuals, is the day we begin to make serious progress against terrorism.

I don't give a toss about any "oneness" BS and I prefer regional governance for my SW anytime and anyway. Yet I am a pragmatist always in search of solutions.

I can key into the concept of working with anything and anyone that facilitates what is in the greater good of society that will prevent us descending into Rwanda-type ethnic genocide madness.

Emotions and sentiments don't help in search for solutions that favours the majority in a society which, in Nigeria case, is the urgent need for peace and security of lives and property that will really enhance the socio-economic fortune of every Nigerian in every State and region of Nigeria.

I am saying, as other adults can do worldwide, Nigerian should focus and see the big picture to understand the need to work together to defeat their common enemy. I am.not asking Nigerians to sit under a tent doing kumbaya and singing songs of unity. Eff that.
