Due to the fact that he doesn't have any incrementing evidence against him abroad, he will look Trump eye brow to eye brow and tell him his mind. He won't beg or schedule a last minute visit to the White House to plea for mercy or plea for time. He won't turn to an American puppet because of his Chicago secret FBI files or become French errand boy because of some secret offshore bank accounts in french overseas territory in the Caribbean islands.

2.) He Is A True Unifier:
An Obasanjo like President is a true national unifier and detribalized leader. He will listen and address all aggrieved sections of the country and carry everybody along, by so doing no region will collectively work against the interest of the country abroad. He is a true national leader. Regional Bigots like Buhari and Tinubu emerging presidents of a heterogeneous country like Nigeria is the worst thing that ever happened to this country.

3.) He is Decisive:
An Obasanjo like Presidency won't treat terrorism, ethnic cleansing and daily bloodbath and kidnappings with kid gloves. He won't be afraid to name terrorists due to his reelection or whatever. State Of Emergency will be declared in troubled regions to save human lives not declaring state of emergency in a peaceful state in a bid to guarantee 2027 reelection.


The difference between a true national leader and a self serving Regional leader with many skeletons in his cupboard is very clear... that's why Igbos love Obasanjo and voted him twice. In fact Obasanjo gathered more votes in SE than SW.

This is the simple reason why Tinubu is mostly loved by a few bigoted SW people and among party faithfuls who benefit from this government while Obasanjo is a man loved across the country.

Very true. Obasanjo presidency made Nigeria to gain more respect in league of nations.
