Chainsawman movie: Reze Arc.....9.5/10


“Hey, Denji, which one would you choose? The Town Mouse or the Country Mouse?”

My only complaint with this movie is that it should have been longer.
The movie is an absolute banger.
Everything from the character writing of Denji and Reze to the stunning animation.

Reze singing in Russian will be stuck in my head for a long time...

Everyone in my cinema was in silence when the ending credits song - Jane Doe was playing.

As someone who has read the Manga, I can say the best of Chainsawman is still yet to come. Season 2 will be even crazier

I watched Carrie yesterday and I loved it. I didn't feel sorry for any of her victims except maybe Tommy and Miss Collins. 7/10.

This has been catching dust in my watchlist for some years now. I'm planning to watch it just in time before the new adaptation TV series from Mike Flanagan releases next year.

Paul Mescal seems g@y to me. No really concern me.... I have barely gotten into his filmography and watched just Gladiator II. Aftersun I tried watching around 2023, I never pass first 20mins up till now.
If I remember correctly, I was merely talking about how he became highly sought after overnight and his growing list of movies lining up to snatch him. And that period I was talking about actors with stacked movie roles.

As for Jacob Elordi.... I like the guy. Like his acting chops and the roles he picks. He interests me because I like the directors and projects he choose to work with. Him and Margot Robbie are some of the few actors I like like that, that I would mostly choose to watch a project just cos of them.
He of course seems to be a Qu££r dude, but girls love him a lot.

It is really good. I saw online that there was a 2013 remake but I don't think I am going to watch that.

Yeah, there was a remake but many people hated it. I'm not bothering myself watching it.

I'm just watching the original and waiting for Mike Flanagan's version— he's always been the undisputed best Stephen King adaptation filmmaker.

I never liked this guy before especially because of his role in Gladiator but when I watched Napoleon. I saw a bit of myself in him and fell in love with him (No Homo).

His facial expression and the way he signals his hand to his soldiers to unleash their Cannon Firepower on the enemy always amuses me.

I actually went to Reddit to have more insight on what the movie might mean and some people were like they found it boring or too over the top. To me, it was a trip watching it, though there were actually a lot of moments that I was like wth is going on. I am still yet to watch "The exorcist" even though it's on my list. I will try to watch it and see if it's any good.

So I cannot post that kind of poster here? I wonder how I escaped censorship lol.

It's different rules for different people here. I've long understood I don't have the freedom to post some things with this moniker. I can get away with somethings with my alternate moniker, but this one is policed like Stalin's Soviet Union. There's some words some people freely use here but I can't.

Sinister (2012)...... 6/10

Decent storyline if it didn't put you to sleep. One of the wackest scares if at all I've seen in recent times for a supposed scary film. Disturbing? Quite tame. Also very predictable.

So much for one of the scariest horror films.

Ballad of A Small Player...... 8/10

One of the best films of this year. Collin Farrell really gave another all-timer worthy performance in here. If Netflix promotes this well for Awards season, Collin might grab a nomination or two.

Collin Farrell plays a chronically addicted gambler who's hell bent on taking that slim chance for that ever elusive high stakes "big bet".
When his debts and muddied past comes hunting for him, the key to his salvation may just lie in a kindred spirit.

Fala Chen as the supporting cast — she was an interesting figure. She kinda looks like Greta Lee. I'm looking forward to seeing her more on screen.

The King’s birthday was this week, and I was just thinking out loud , is there even a more relatable “Bollywood” face than this legend? At least outside of India, here in Nigeria, he is Mr. Bollywood, that much I know.

My formative years of getting into Bollywood lore and falling in love with it had so much to do with him. A genre-bending actor, he could be anything! a perfect testament to how good he truly is. From Deewana (1992) to Kabhi Haan Kabhi Naa (1994), Don (2006), Om Shanti Om (2007), and Jawan (2023), we’ve witnessed a master at his absolute peak.

I remember a fond memory from the early 2000s in my family home (Bollywood freaks, these lot 😭). We had just rented Duplicate (1998) on VHS back when VHS rental clubs were a thing and we were still a high-trust society 😭. We all gathered around the one singular 12inch barely coloured JVC telly in the house to watch the King play two versions of himself, Bablu, an aspiring chef, and Manu, a gang*ter. He played both roles with such delicate dexterity that it got the whole house divided on who to side with, and let’s be honest, Manu was looking really appealing 👀😩. A memory I’ll cherish forever.

Maybe Amitabh Bachchan rivals his popularity, but it’s negligible, in my opinion. I remember tweeting about Jawan and the King back in 2023 and Indians camped in my mentions for weeks.

The King is 60 this week, and perhaps in the twilight of his illustrious career, but he remains an absolute legend. I’m just grateful to have witnessed his greatness over the years.
