Another disturbing case of police brutality has surfaced — this time from Bayelsa State, where a policeman was caught on video harassing a car owner in broad daylight.

The video has sparked anger among Nigerians, many of whom are once again calling for accountability and reform within the Nigeria Police Force.

Concerned citizens are urging the Inspector-General of Police (IGP) Kayode Adeolu Egbetokun, Ph.D. to prioritize regular training and re-training of police officers — to ensure they uphold professionalism, respect for citizens’ rights, and ethical standards of the job.

These officers should be court marshalled and summarily dismissed with full media publicity to serve as deterrent to others.
