Life Now Ends At 40 In Nigeria Due To Poor Governance by eejo(op): 10:39pm On Nov 04, 2025
Life start at 40 a popular saying in the 80s and 90s for Nigerians but today life ends at 40 for many Nigerians and it is only politicians, family and friends that now celebrate and live above 40s. This have to change and am committed to it. Every week many Nigerians in their 40s are buried with their dreams due to poor healthcare system and poor governance.

Nigeria is dead, inflation everywhere, our money is useless.
People are getting depressed everyday and losing hope, suic1de rate is high, everyone is just working to survive, just to get basic things.
We keep talking and talking but can Nigeria ever change in our lifetime.

Sir eejo good evening, I hope you continue your charity because your help is really needed this time

How old are you?

So according to you, your life will end at 40, that is your choice from your own mouth

The hardship is really scary and alarming to say least but our leaders are more interested in playing politics.

I was pricing 2 tubbers of yam from aboki this afternoon and he insisted on 6k last, average size o not big atal. Right now one would need 5k to able to prepare yam and egg for just two people to eat at a sitting and we call this governancehuh

You mean you cannot move forward as it is clear that many people are moving forward, so we have to assume you are talking about your self.

OP
You are not far from the truth. embarassed

Most 37,38yr old Guys in Nigeria now have Grey hair on their head. undecided

20yrs Ago, you CANNOT see such. sad

I think that saying 'fool at 40' has kinda moved to 'fool at 50' now. Because at 40, men are still trying to figure things out, trying to get solid, trying to find their bearings – especially here in Nigeria.

Back in the days it was thought that at 40, you should have attained some stages in life but now the case is different. A man of 40 is still thinking how to start a business of family🤦‍♂️

yes, poor healthcare system and poor governance implicitly impact the life expectancy of Nigerians, negatively.

Especially "poor governance", which in itself birthed poor healthcare system, gives rise to life-threatening illegalities like massive productions of fake drugs, drinks, processed foods e.t.c.
Lack of jobs is undoubtedly one of the resultant effects of poor governance, which drives people, especially young and agile ones, into reckless and criminal lifestyles, which most times cuts short their lifespan.

Even those politicians aren't really any better. What makes them seemingly different - is the money they have in excess which they utilize in seeking efficient healthcare abroad.
Separate them from their monies and realize that - they are baggages of sickness and diseases, infact walking deads.

sir eejo, abeg do something for your followers on here. Such gesture from you is cherished, and has been missed.

You don't have to worry about bot banning you. The relevant inputs could be made through the signature on the profile, and all would go seamlessly.

The average Nigerian youth in this generation is the unluckiest seriously. They find themselves in a country whose system is deliberately designed for them to fail. The era of a child of nobody becoming somebody is unfortunately gone. If one is not opportuned to be born among the rich 10% or less, He is unfortunately trapped in the poverty hole specially designed by the system. Only a scanty few escape this poverty hole mostly by crooked means or by japa. The rest live and die in poverty. So sad.

The citizens brought that to themselves. Nigerians are big time cowards that shy away from the glaring truth. Everybody is catching cruise while suffering and smiling, forgetting the main issue to be tackled.
Nigeria can never move forward cus we have different people from different backgrounds with different poor reasoning. Everybody just bark like wild dogs on social media, but runs inside when it's time to take action.
Nigerians will rather beg 100 100 naira from all moving vehicles or SM platforms (you can even see them doing that in this thread) rather fight the issue and people that made them poor.

Now tell me why the government won't take the citizens as nobody.

Many people at that 40 now, already have kids and families to cater for and the worst part is they start to become redundant, cos every penny they see has to be spent on food for their families, they even beg sometimes so as to pay their children school fees

It is not encouraging at all

no bruh!

sir eejo isn't obligated to give any dime. The ones he's given in the past are for charity sake.

He's only being philanthropic because of his kind heart. He owes no one no dime!

NOTHING warrants you being entitled!!

this is ungratefulness at it's peak.

Sir eejo isn't like Nigerian leaders, rather, his comportment on here presents him as someone whose principles are in sharp contrast to those of the toxic and narcissistic leaders.

And NO, he never used money to secure attention and followership. He chose to be open-minded and open-handed because he chose to be so.
I believe it is his own distinct way of de-stressing people, putting smile on people's face, and injecting impactful inputs - to lighten people's burden at a capacity.

He is an excellent person. Please, quit being an ingrate.

Sir eejo, I profoundly apologize for these unwarranted outbursts from this person.

I do hope this grotesquerie won't deter your philanthropism.

May God's Blessings never cease in your life!

Like he's obligated to? What an entitled Arrow.

There's a saying that life starts @40 but it's quite the opposite nowadays.

Many 40yr olds are still trying to grasp what their life stood for.

In my opinion this is a brutally honest and accurate assessment of the citizens. Most Nigerian citizens don't want change because when emi lokan happens for them in the future, they want to be able to steal via corruption. The irony of that is you may never get there. There are zero patriots amongst most Nigerian citizens.

The government is attempting Guinness world record for lowest life expectancy with a target of 30 years expectancy. Once you finish school, you born 1 child, you go.
