I spend between 4000 and 6,000 on feeding on a daily basis. My location is port harcourt Rivers state. Why unique thing about this ph is the average cost of living . Not high at all when compared other nearby cities i ve been to like Owerri or warri

N:B Am a bachelor and not married yet because I don't have money for marriage and my salary is barely enough for my feeding, transport and house rent.

I know people eat to save money, I eat for the future, I prefer to cook because that is the only way I am sure its upto standard.

But honestly, I spend at the least 100k per month for cooking, no drinks or snacks, or even breaverage included.

And this doesn't include the fact I already bought a bag of rice at home, semo, wheat and other swallow pounder.

Eating out 3k a day? Oh boy you try oh. Even with I better pass my neighbour chicken Republic cheap rice and chicken, 3k can't feed me a day. If I should manage at least 6k daily and that means skipping lunch. I think I need to study how those family man earning below150k monthly manage to take care of their families.

The only way you can spend 2+k is if you fit dey manage small food and dey buy from buka. Na to find side work wey go dey augment the food budget.

If cooking is an option, stock house with 80k for one month and see if it stays for month, then adjust accordingly.

I personally think cooking is way more expensive (though you go chop belleful 😅 but no variety)

cooking is better to me thou, to cut cost i just make better stew.... bread o, spags o, macaroni o, rice o, yam o, boiled potatoes stew dey run dem well, i forget semo and garri sef no competition for stew

Abuja is even better if you want to get food in Asaba here outside eatery you need from 6k up for a single meal, while mama put charges like 3k per meal.
imagine you eat 3 times a day in mama put thats 9k daily.
your own good if you dey asaba you go sabi cook by force.

If you spend 2k-3k per day on food and you think you're overspending then start fasting three (3) within a week to reduce your spending afterall, is part of body exercise to make body fit.

If I manage on daily bases what I spend is about 5k

Plate of food here is from 2500 to 3000. If you eat twice thats 5k. You haven’t added snacks and beverages or beer.

The lowest of lol restaurants sells from 1500 a place and trust me you don’t want to go there.

To cook indomie is more than 1500. If you want to add tomatoes, onions and peppers. That includes oil and eggs

You are not over spending on 3k per day on a 200k monthly pay but you can make things a little better if you consider cooking your food.

You get eat better and healthier but it will take more of your time.
