I need advice from NL family on the issue of safety of students of Oduduwa University, near Ife, Osun state Nigeria as my daughter wants to enroll in the school.

You will recall that the founder of the university, one Dr Rahmon Adedoyin was convicted and sentenced to death last 2 years for the kidnapping and murder of Timothy Adegoke an MBA student of OAU who lodged in a hotel owned by the same Rahmon Adedoyin for ritual purpose.

My mind has not been at rest since she told me that she wants to enroll in the school as she was not given admission by the university she actually applied to. She is insisting that one of her friend is in the school but I'm afraid for her life because i believe that the owner of the university who is a convicted murderer may still be in the business of ritual killings even though he is still behind bars. He wasn't working alone and i believe some of his foot soldiers are outside.

Please, i need your advise because this is her 3rd attempt (3 years) to secure admission but unfortunately unsuccessful.

I'm not the one that chose the school but my daughter. I have explained my fears to her but she don't want to listen

Just verify that school very well. Students death is surplus there.

Out of all the private universities available in ogun state , oui is what your daughter Insisted on ?

Mountain Top university is there
Redeemer's University is there
McPherson University is there
Lead city is there ( even though I'm not a fan )
Achievers University is there
Bowen University is there
Elizade university is there
Adeleke university is there
Crawford University is there
The bells university is there
Infact I'm sure landmark university should still be able t accept her for admission

Of all the universities I've listed above, there's on you'll be able to easily afford if you want her to go to a private uni .

Yes your daughter can choose , but the final decision rests with you as long as you're not interfering the course of her study

I will advise you that enroll in the school is an issue, the issue there when you want to collect her result because from experience from those people that finished their program from the two years ago has not been able to collect their result except if they just release it 2 or 3 months ago. Any school that is been controlled or coordinated as family business that if the breadwinner is not around to endorse result or document for the smooth running of the school, please do away with such school.
Secondly, i will advise to go to the school environment to ask any questions that causes FEAR in your mind.

That’s OUI. Located beside my darling Oau. Kindly find another university for your kid sir. Although, I am not currently apprised of the happenings in that school, I believe its name has been dented by the scandal.

I sincerely hope your daughter’s “friend” is not the one behind the unshakable interest your kid has in that school.

I'm not saying they don't have a good teaching standard , I personally just don't like the "over-secularity" on the campus .

A quick search on tiktok and you'll see more than enough compared to other schools on that list when you run the same search on tiktok.

Since you're considering a private university, you would always get a better one outside the school. Your feelings are super valid, for me, that man is dubious, it is insane of our society that such people own institutions, not to talk of an academic institution. if she did not get admission this year, it is not the end of the world. He/ She can go for an apprenticeship or computer training courses.

Every uni and it's rules

There are less stricter uni which still uphold high standard of learning on that list.

And one can't expect less from a religious institution especially in a religious country like ours, Crescent isn't doing any lesser than CU .
