My wife went to grind corn on 25th October. She then went to a nearby shop to buy half bag of water for the corn (#250) and later came back for another 3 satchets (#150), and she gave the man #500. She later needed more water and told the man to complete it one bag since he still has her #500 (cost of a bag of water). The man disagreed

Along the line, the man slapped my wife saying she's pointing at him. He beat her and his wife came and join him to beat my wife. They bite her and tore her clothes. It was the man's neighbor that gave my wife clothe to wear.

After my wife called me, I went to police station to request for the man's arrest.

At the end, the man denied that he didn't touch my wife. He turned it that it's woman to woman fight. It's only her wife that fought with my wife. We have been on it since then. I brought the person that grinded the corn to police and he testified that what my wife said was true. That it was the man the started beating my wife before his wife joined.

Yesterday, we went to DPO office. After hearing from the both parties again, he told the IPO to go to the scene and investigate what happened.

When the IPO came back, he said that from the information gathered, it was the woman that fought my wife. They took the case to court same yesterday and they turned it to woman to woman fight. The was adjourned.



What made me to create this post is that; this morning, my wife went to buy something. The neighbor of the man that beat my wife called her and asked her about the case. My wife told her that policeman was sent yesterday for investigation and he said that the people he asked confirmed that it was the man's wife that fought my wife. But the woman said no. That she's the one they met yesterday with another girl. They told the police that it was the man that beat my wife before his wife join.

How do I go in this case for the man to be charged for beating my wife.

I don't really know the Genesis of their disagreements or wahala o. But I saw this girl insult a guy in the area one time. She ended up slapping him and seizing his shirt, even tearing it.


The guy was calm allowing her to do everything. Saying he doesn't beat or fight women. And that he would respond at the right time but it's with her husband. After plenty noise they were separated and everyone went on their way.


Some weeks later on a Sunday. Bobo dressed up all nice and good going to church. Na so this other guy that was slapped by the girl appeared from nowhere and blocked his path. The way he beat that guy that day his nose started bleeding and his shirt stained with blood.

Innocent guy wey no know when e wife cause trouble o. Nobody ever believe say that guy go retailiate.

@ op e go hard make anything come out from this kind of case because police don dey sweep am under carpet like this. You seem like a gentleman wey no too like wahala but this case wan draw you out because honestly I understand how e be make man like you beat your wife make the matter go like that. Embarrassing no be lie.

But no go do something wey you go later regret Sha by taking laws into your hands!

Though I don't support man beating wife! This matter I have feelings that your wife may have passed her boundaries in terms of words of mouth , and for the man's wife to join fighting her fellow married woman, it means they may not have been able to endure.

I have seen where in the morning were going to work, get to bustop saw a woman with a baby on her back arguing with Bike-Man at a point people was like supporting her being married woman, before you know it she slapped the Bike-Man and the Man retaliate and She started crying.

Infact I became cold and angry about the whole the issue, asking myself, why can't that Married Woman talk with mouth and allowed people to settle the matter instead of slapping and she ended up crying that morning, this is a lady that left home for work.

We should learn to withdraw when things are getting out of hand, please.

From my own view starting from the buying of water, it's not her first time grinding corn so she should have know the quantity of water needed, she for just buy full bag the remaining carry it home. instead of buying half bag then three sachet and now go back to tell the seller to round it up as one bag and wanting to collect change, the man no go gree cus selling by piece is at the man's gain and him go dey feel like say your wife wan guy am..

as for your side you self no try..person beat your wife, a man for that matter...na to mount there make you and am diggeram one on one..if e reach police make them settle una.. now story don get K-Leg... no be who first call police dey win case...

Thank God e no pass like this cus you fit don out of anger go hit the man and him go down story go come change to had i know...just take heart e don happen sorry to your wife make make una forgive and forget..
