I've repeatedly stated that Omoyele Sowere (who confessed in an interview that he NEVER went to Journalism School) has over the years become an insidious person who manipulates his readers with half-truths and outright FAKE news WITHOUT even apologizing or offering any corrigendum to readers most of the time. Omoyele is going to destabilize and put President 'Bola Tinubu's government into more problems with the Nigerian folks with his sensationalisms and toxic disinformation in SR if he is NOT checked over his highly IRRESPONSIBLE behavior.

Tinubu himself has been pampering Omoyele because of there past Pro-democracy associations from the 1990s. I used to like SR a lot back in the day from the early 2000s for credible investigative reports BUT from 2010, I started seeing a lot of mind control, embellishments of news reports and unverified news from "so-called sources" in his online reports. This 2025 alone, there have been countless reports from him and SR that I had to FACT-CHECK and they turned out wrong or embellished. Peoples Gazette publishers are even far WORSE than SR and Omoyele who has ALWAYS stated that he never went to Journalism School. Those Peoples Gazette publishers blatantly tell LIES a lot by twisting people's comments and using FAKE news headlines.

The purpose of the media is to educate and NOT to manipulate people enmasse based off of hate.

Sowore gets massive funding from external source. To justify the fundings, he need to foment more trouble and the only way is to intentionally provoke the government so they can arrest him, mention him, and etc so his popularity can soar.

Then I'm sorry, you would be the biggest f**l if you cannot pick a trusted mechanic that has your back. The average human being will act in their self interest. FACT. If there are no checks and balances, the average human will act like a savage. It's not about being Nigerian. Look at New Orleans during Hurricane Katerina when there was a complete breakdown of law and order. People looted and mobbed other to survive. Something that ordinarily won't happen in America. It just has to STOP and just like you stated, if Tinubu or the government robustly comes to take him into full custody, sections of the media will start shouting that "press freedom" is under attack. For me, I've realized that you DON'T give absolute freedom to some people and a lot of these OAPs and journalists in the print and electronic media outlets are abusing the privileges given to them by making inciting posts and comments. Standards for news reportage have to be set for the media ecosystem.

I like what Senator Godswill Akpabio has done by reporting to the Police Cybercrimes Unit and the DSS to uncover the people that spread the disinformation that he attacked the Donald Trump the POTUS. These highly IRRESPONSIBLE people have to be taught a big lesson for deceiving and manipulating other people for click-baits. Bola Tinubu has to STOP being a "Mr. Nice guy" and an absolute democrat but be FIRM on those deliberately spreading these toxic attacks on him. This is how Lee Kuan Yew of Singapore operated as a benevolent dictator till Singapore became an advanced country. Singaporeans complained about the policies but Singapore is BETTER today. NOBODY respects any person who is regularly insulted online and offline and who is perceived to be a weak person on the face of this planet. That's the way the human brain is wired for several millennia.

The question I want to ask is, If it were his personal project, would there be this excuse of corruption for a poor job done? Nigerian politicians take on projects for the sole purpose of embezzlement and camera. It was the GAC and several angry APC Lagos members from different zones who ensured that Akinwunmi Ambode didn't return as Governor because he started deviating from the laid down plans for Lagos State and didn't listen to his party people. Ambode wanted a modern refuse disposal system and he brought a foreign firm in which bungled the logistics of waste disposals in Lagos State. Lagos State stated witnessing piles of stinking waste on the streets BECAUSE of the breakdown in logistics after the PSPs were suspended. There were other infractions by the highly-educated former Governor Ambode (who was born in Epe of Ilaje-Yoruba royal family parentage from Ondo State. (Ambode's biological father was an academic who was posted to Epe by the Government of the Old Western Region while Chief Obafemi Awolowo, GCFR, SAN, was the Premier of the Old Western Region of which Epe is or was a part of). If Akinwunmi Ambode had NOT deviated from that plan and listened to the Lagos APC members, he would have convincingly got a second-term and this is why Ambode himself said he has "LEARNED his lessons based off of media reports."

For your information, the GAC members are even more influential and powerful than the now President 'Bola Tinubu and there are power brokers in Lagos State who will kick Tinubu out if he messes up. Tinubu is just the face of APC (transiting from AD) since 1999 and he was the one along with his dynamic team who laid the foundations of the Lagos State Development Plan that ALL the Lagos State Governors have been using till date.

The Lekki Deep Sea Port in Ibeju-Lekki, the Lekki Free Trade Zone (LFTZ) in Ibeju-Lekki, the presence of the Dangote Petrochemical Refinery in Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos, several agencies and several iconic mega projects were the handiwork of the now President 'Bola Tinubu and his team when he was the Governor of Lagos State and he ensured that each of the Governors after him continued to follow through with the "Lagos State Development Master Plan."

Do you know how many projects are going on concurrently across the country? Will Tinubu come down to supervise each and every one of them? Let's be realistic. The right thing is for the government to put in controls to ensure people do the right thing and make scapegoats of those that circumvent them, because you and I know Nigerians will DEFINITELY try to circumvent those controls and continue with corruption. It is easy to blanket blame the govt but look at the average Nigeria and the way every one keeps cutting corners even in their daily dealings, then you will realise Tinubu is not the biggest problem of this country.
