This is my concern right now. For the US intervention to be successful and brief, other good citizens of Nigeria need to give their support by preventing these criminals from escaping to other regions.

The United States and the Federal Government of Nigeria should coordinate robust, lawful operations to dismantle and defeat terrorist organizations active in Nigeria, including Boko Haram, ISWAP, IPOB, and other violent extremist groups.

And most of us think US Navy is yet to arrive the gulf of Guinea, they're already mounted there before dropping this action plan. Their Air force group is already in our Air space and soon reports will be released. My interest is not just eliminating the terrorists, but their sponsors should be dealt with equally.

Nigerian authorities should even use this opportunity to work with Pentagon for targeted strikes on the bandits.

For me, this present a new vista of opportunity that BAT should employ to route out the bandits. Nigerian armed forces do not possess the drone capabilities required to monitor and gather intelligence for precision strikes. This is what Washington wants to provide and the Nigerian authorities should work with them to map out and delineate areas for strikes.

What I would not support is unilateral strike on Nigeria by external forces. This would amount to an insult on the sovereignty of Nigeria. its only in Nigeria that you will hear that millitants attacjked an army base for 5 hours. The same 5 hours that i will use to fly from Lagos to London! So in that time, they couldnt get Air Force support?

There are cheap Turkish drones that are like $5mln and can stay airborne for 24hours loaded with pricision guided missiles. Left to me, we should buy like 20. 15 fully armed (3 each for NE,NW and NC) and 5 with high tech cameras, infrared etc to surveillance gathering. We can then partner with western countries to place a sattelite permanently over Northern Nigeria. A sattelite can have 100 high definition camera, constantly monitoring movements in notorious bandit areas.

Then we should have like 5 attack helicopters ready to go at short notice at all times. Station 2 in NE and 2 in NW and one in NC. These helicopters will be fitted with our elite Army fighters on rotation to support ground forces with mop up operations after drone strikes.

If we keep at this dilligently for 1 year, we will decimate these terorists significantly. At least they wont roam around with impunity.

NA is already compromised. Even the generals are feeding fat on military contracts. We need outside intervention..US OR FOREIGN mercenaries. Its difficult in the South cos of few Muslims
