President Trump appears to be a funny character but his administration has been favouring Nigeria even in his first term in office.

Nigeria was under arm embargo and unable to tackle Bokoharam and other security threats. It was Donald Trump in his first term that lifted the embargo that enabled Nigeria to procure some military hardware under Buhari government.

His decision to intervene after many failed attempts by Nigerian government if there is no auterio motive, I think it is welcome.

Northern Nigerian elites are not taking the insecurity serious many of them are serving as insiders for bokoharam. They are behind herdsmen killings and banditry.
