President Bola Tinubu says his administration remains determined to defeat terrorism and deliver a secure, prosperous Nigeria despite “political headwinds”, Very Nigerian reports.

Tinubu spoke on Thursday after receiving an update on the state of the economy from Wale Edun, coordinating minister of the economy.

The president said Nigeria will continue to engage with the world diplomatically, adding that his administration is committed to national security and stability.

“Despite the political headwinds and
the fear of our people, we continue to engage our partners,” Tinubu said.

“We are engaging the world diplomatically. I assure you all that we will defeat terrorism.

“The task ahead is to move forward with clarity of purpose guided by the Renewed Hope agenda to build a prosperous Nigeria.”

Tinubu’s comment comes amid the recent threat issued by US President Donald Trump’s threat of military action on Nigeria over alleged killing of Christians.

On Saturday, Trump asked the US department of war to “prepare for possible action” in Nigeria.

Trump had redesignated Nigeria as a “country of particular concern” over alleged killing of Christian in the country.

Prior to Trump’s comments, some US lawmakers had asked Marco Rubio, secretary of state, to take decisive diplomatic action against the Nigerian government over what they described as the “systematic persecution and slaughter of Christians”.

The federal government has, however, refuted claims of religious killings in the country.

The US will eventually have to work with the Nigeria government. They should start the pushback from Kwara down to Benue, Plateau and Southern Kaduna when they come. We’ll appreciate them.

I am very familiar with the US as this tactic has been used for decades.

Whenever they start dishing propaganda against a nation, look the other way and you will find their motive.

For Trump so loved Nigerians and so ready to save Nigeria😁. Same Trump? It’s not even a Trump thing. It’s a NORMAL US tactic and history has it documented.

There’s no reason for concern unless you’re a terrorist or enabling terrorism. The government must take full responsibility and ensure the safety of every citizen, because every life matters.
The United States and the Federal Government of Nigeria should coordinate robust, lawful operations to dismantle and defeat terrorist organizations active in Nigeria, including Boko Haram, ISWAP, IPOB, and other violent extremist groups.

Truth is the battle is beyond Tinubu's capacity.

The matter is very deep. Many double agents in many offices esp within the northern hierachy.

The power brokers that launched Tinibu into power, and urshered him the sit, are also significantly involved in this thing.

So, he is scared to boldly face matter.

And if he does not face the matter head on, he will have to face Donald Trump's resolution timeline at this point.

Unlike Buhari, obviously Tinubu is likey not a religious extremist. His main concern is just that his tax revenue from us does not drop.
