Effective from Saturday 01 November 2025, Multichoice has reduced the price of the DStv decoder from ₦10,000 to a ₦7,900 while the GOtv decoder has been reduced from ₦9,900 to ₦6,500.

This price drop follows an earlier reduction in June 2025 under the company’s “We’ve Got You” campaign.

At that time, MultiChoice adjusted the price of the DStv decoder from ₦20,000 to ₦10,000, and the GOtv decoder from ₦18,600 to ₦9,900.

According to MultiChoice Executive Head of Marketing Tope Oshunkeye, the latest price reduction is aimed at ensuring that entertainment remains affordable for Nigerians as the December festive season nears.

The real deal is in splashing the subscription cost and not the decoder!
I have two of their boxes in my house which are not in use due to a lack of subscription.

People are getting busier and occupied with more things. Can’t imagine myself watch TV for 3 hours a day, that’s 21 hours a week.

Subscription prices should be reduced as well else, all these theatrics are useless!

Decoder without subscription is useless. Decoder is now affordable but subscription remains unaffordable, what is the essence of buying the decoder?

is too much! Here in the East ( umauhia)if you have dish already! You will only spent 35k on decoder, installer 3 to 5k, there is subscription already on it, 5k subscription every month, you can watch champions League and other vital channels, then if you don't have dish everything will cost you 50 to 51k!
