Is that his fault having such energy to insult everyone including the Judge! I will blame DSS for feeding him too much. Can you imagine an ordinary goat taking himself for a lion. I pity those who will be in Biafra with this Kanu as their President.
Keep quiet, you should rather listen and learn from what he was saying than saying he was insulting the Judge..
One day , it will be your turn and Nigeria will happen to you....

Kanu knows how mediocre the judiciary is that’s why he’s shouting at them. Someone with a louder voice can actually shout his way out of the case and out of that door. Clowns.

Kudje prison loading. This is why you need a lawyer to articulate your case

Kanu needs a course in anger management. Insulting everyone insulting blacks does not buy you favours. Keep speaking your truth and you will be heard.

Simon Ekpa used the same defence in Finland and he was jailed.

Will you shout at a judge in the UK even if you don't agree with their judgement? NO It is contempt of court. You have not even been sentenced and you are yelling on your presumption
He wouldn't shout on a judge in UK because they are not subservient to the executive. What earns respect is uprightness not necessarily ones position.

Because he was shouting and busy insulting everyone? Lol.

After all the shout and insult, he will still be packaged back to Kuje.

Instead of defending himself, he is shouting, claiming knowledge of the law more than anyone else. The court is now free to give its verdict, ten thousand of Trump won't save his arsss.
He is not in Kuje but chilling at the expense of Nigeria.

Nnamdi Kanu is indeed God sent, he is a true hero against injustice.... he has finally won the battle against his oppressors. Today, he has proven to the whole world that Nigeria is an unjust lawless country. Justice Omotosho should bury his head in shame for supporting illegality, putting Nigeria judiciary in to total shame.... if Nigeria wants to kill him so be it but let it be known that this injustice will not end with Nnamdi Kanu.... Nigerians supporting this injustice should bury their heads in shame.... Nigeria is a zoo....
We can't wait for the agulu fans to cry profusely online. grin

Kanu is a go..ner grin grin

500 years in gaol grin grin

They will shout, jump up and down, like hen wey hawk carry in chickens. Nothing will happen grin grin

After the terrorist is finally committed to gaol, we will focus on 2027 which is a walk over to asiwaju. grin cheesy

Meanwhile, tomorrow is Professor Soludo victory day as he wins his re-election.

Stay tuned.

Had this been the UK, Mazi Kanu would have long since gone home a free man! In fact, seeing the devolution of powers to the semi-autonomous nations of Wales and Scotland, I’d even go further to assert that there would have been no talk of IPOB or secession had this been the UK! Injustice breeds dissent!

PUBLIC BRIEFING NOTE: 07.11.2025.

TODAY’S EPIC BATTLE BETWEEN MAZI NNAMDI KANU & JUSTICE JAMES OMOTOSHO AT ABUJA FEDERAL HIGH COURT

Issued by: Onyedikachi Ifedi, Esq. (reporting from a tense courtroom)

1. Overview of Today’s Shocking Court Developments
The electrifying proceedings in the case of Federal Republic of Nigeria v Mazi Nnamdi Kanu before Justice James Omotosho took a disturbing turn today, raising serious public concern over the integrity of the judicial process. Multiple actions and pronouncements made by the presiding judge have been widely described as unprecedented, hostile to fair hearing, and blatantly contrary to constitutional standards of criminal trial.

2. Judge Unable to State the Law Under Which Kanu Is Being Tried
In open court today, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu demanded repeatedly that Justice Omotosho identify the specific written law under which he is being tried.

Despite multiple direct requests, Justice Omotosho could not cite any written law creating the alleged offence. Instead of addressing this foundational constitutional requirement, the judge evaded the question.

For the avoidance of doubt, Section 36(12) of the 1999 Constitution (as amended) provides:

“A person shall not be convicted of a criminal offence unless that offence is defined and the penalty therefor is prescribed in a written law.”

Kanu made it clear to the court that no conviction can stand without a valid written law, and that his faith is on Section 36(12) of the Constitution, not on the judge’s personal views.

3. Judge Failed to Acknowledge the Use of a Repealed Law
Kanu moved a formal motion to expunge his plea from the court record on the grounds that the charge was founded on a repealed law.

Rather than taking judicial notice—something every judge is bound to do under the Evidence Act—Justice Omotosho sidestepped the issue. The court refused to acknowledge that no one can be tried under a repealed statute, a position anchored in Nigerian and international law.

4. Omotosho Blocks Final Written Addresses – A Disturbing First in Nigerian Criminal Trial History
In a move that has stunned legal observers nationwide, Justice Omotosho announced that he does not want any final written addresses from either party.

This is widely viewed as an aberration and a dangerous departure from established criminal procedure. Final written addresses are:

A core component of fair trial
A mandatory stage before judgment
The primary avenue for defendants to challenge evidence and raise points of law
No credible record exists of a trial judge in Nigeria deliberately blocking final addresses in a criminal case. Legal commentators have described this as a judicial ambush.

5. Kanu’s Final Word to the Judge Today
In response to the judge’s position, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu told the court that he does not care what Justice Omotosho says, because the Constitution is supreme:

He stated clearly that Section 36(12) CFRN forbids any conviction without a valid written law, and that no court can override the Constitution.

6. Public Concerns and Implications
Today’s proceedings raise grave questions:

Why is a judge avoiding reference to the law he claims to be applying?
Why refuse written addresses unless the goal is to avoid legal scrutiny of a predetermined outcome?
Why is a court entertaining charges tied to a repealed law?
These developments undermine public trust in the judiciary, and today’s events have intensified public, legal, and international concern over the fairness of this trial.

Conclusion

What transpired in court today is not a normal judicial process. The actions and statements of Justice James Omotosho reflect a troubling pattern of procedural irregularities, disregard for constitutional safeguards, and hostility to fair hearing.

This briefing is being issued in the public interest to ensure transparency and to document the concerning conduct observed in today’s proceedings.

More details later...
so your argument now is not that you did not commit the offence rather that the law that made your offence an offence has been repealed? Hmmm, you have a long way to go. Is like you don't know Nigeria. Suddenly you want the judge to respect the law. Did you remember there was a law when you were misbehaving?

Kanu's mental illness prevents him from comprehending that having a loud voice and shouting like a lunatic in court will only add more years to his jail sentence. All the same, there cannot be a shred of sympathy for Nazi Kanu from anybody that is aware of the killings that Kanu instigated in his own homeland with his online urgings.
Under which law is Kanu being tried? This is the meat of the matter not your inconsequential opinion.

is your own part of Nigeria that is finished. Law or no law, for the lives you have wasted, you all must pay.

Jakumo:
This is the aspect of Kanu's blind support by SOME Igbos that I find utterly baffling. Kanu's gunmen have killed so many Igbo people whose only crime was trying to get out of their homes on Mondays, in defiance of Kanu's illegal orders that FORBADE them from going outdoors.

Despite that direct involvement in the killing of Igbo people, many of the same Igbo people STILL worship that killer as though he is a deity.

Anyway, not worry, Kanu will rot in jail and will soon be forgotten in exactly the same way that Simon Ekpa has become a mere footnote of past irrelevant history, as he languishes in a Finnish jail from where Mr. Ekpa will be DEPOERTED to face ANOTHER jail sentence in Nigeria.
Well-said Jakumo. Should wrongdoing no longer be viewed as that, in the eyes of common law, simply because Nigerians are of different ethnicities?

What Kanu supporters, including OP, are doing is the equivalent of declaring a rapist, with evidence confirming the guilt of the defendant, as "totally innocent" because he is their ethnic kinsman .

Nauseating and worrying. This is why I am a resolute advocate of regional autonomy.

People of different ethnic backgrounds who cannot have homogeneity of ideas over the most important consideration in life, such as how all adults in a society must be held responsible for their actions without the option of deflecting blame elsewhere, have no business being together.

Your ignorance of the situation is appalling to say the least. This is why Nigeria must be dismantled with all urgency. He can't see the inside of any jail cell, locally or internationally. In fact, Nigeria is spending an astronomical amount of its security budget on maintaining his house arrest as he is chilling maximumly with all his needs being attended to.

Frustration is gradually turning this dude into a lunatic.

But in all fairness, I see no reason why Nnamdi Kanu cannot walk free if bandits are holding meetings with Governors and walking freely. They all fall under the same category. On that premise, please free Nnamdi Kanu or arrest all bandits and terrorists in Nigeria. There should be fairness in justice.
My own point exactly not a fan of d guy tho but they should let him go and counter his Rhetorics anytime he speaks.

This government is so powerless or we don't have law in the country anymore. This guy is obviously above the law. In a sane country, Kanu can never try it. The guy supposed to come to court in handcuffs all the time. In USA or other developed countries he would handcuffed behind
Because your government has a serious credibility deficit. Moreover, having successfully compromised the Judiciary, this is the kind of outcome you expect from courts going forward.

You think he’s catching fun in the prison he has been all this years? And he has not even spent 5 years oo
The only thing in his mind now is freedom , you people really think he’s living in heavens paradise

Before you compare people to Mandela and Obasanjo and the rest, this people went through a whole lot of test that broke them and they were fortunate to come out of it and become presidents, they never enjoyed their imprisonment.

If they lock you up for one week, you may not recover from the ptsd in the next one year

Continue to encourage him, let him continue to act like a barbarian
So what is your point.

Let us explain the difference to you

Buhari already released Kanu in 2017 under which Kanu was given certain conditions

Instead of Kanu to keep the conditions and build goodwill he set up an Armed Militia
that has now kpai thousands ,
Kanu later fled the Country.

Releasing Kanu again could put many more lives at risk.and make FG look unserious

Kanu already blew his chances of getting freedom again
You are either a blatant lier or have a terribly poor memory.
