Tinubu, Sultan Of Sokoto, Meet In Abuja by peekspot(op): 8:25pm On Nov 07, 2025
President Bola Tinubu on Friday met with the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Abubakar III, at the State House, Abuja.

The closed-door meeting came just a few days after the President met Bishop Ignatius Ayau Kaigama, the Archbishop of Abuja.

The Special Assistant to the President on Social Media, Dada Olusegun, who posted the videos of Tinubu’s meetings with both leaders on X, said the engagement was part of the ongoing consultations with religious and traditional leaders to promote dialogue and strengthen social trust across the country.

Other Presidency sources who spoke with the Nation described the meetings as part of the President’s consultations with key moral and cultural leaders on ways to consolidate peace, enhance national integration, and tackle emerging social challenges.

According to officials, the meetings align with Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which prioritises inclusivity and interfaith cooperation as core pillars for sustaining national stability and cohesion.

The meetings come in the wake of escalating global tensions over religious freedom, particularly following US President Donald Trump’s October 31, 2025, redesignation of Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern.”

The US had alleged severe religious violations in Nigeria, including “over 7,000 Christian deaths in the first seven months of 2025 amid attacks by Boko Haram, ISWAP, and Fulani militants.”

But the Federal Government has denied the allegation, insisting Nigeria’s constitution safeguards interfaith harmony and rejecting claims of Christian genocide as “false narratives.”

tinubu still thinks Trump is joking and with the usual hypocritical photo ops the matter will die down?

Trump gave u a marching order or else there will be imminent external intervention to stop a Christian genocide. The one the Nigerian government will not like.
Re: Tinubu, Sultan Of Sokoto, Meet In Abuja by Nwaikpe:
Let me tell you guys a story. Maybe our Yorubaa brothers will learn from it:

It is another story. grin

Somehow our Yoruba (Yb) brothers think that their best ally is the Hausa/Fulani (HS/Fn). They can't be more wrong. Sometimes around Christmas or New Year in 2012, during my university days (master's) at Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, there was a protest that we referred to as "fuel subsidy." It was literally a protest of the country against Goodluck and not against the policy actually.

I had a Yb landlord, who became a vicctim of his own carelesssness. This is how it happened:
As a master's student, I rented a room in a compound off campus in Samaru. On the eve of the protest, we were already warned in church to all stay inside the house (serious warning). In Zaria we already know what a protest means. If you were schooled in Zaria, you will understand as well. Protest in the North is an avenue to first steal, then loot, then do jeehard. But somehow, as per the norm, the Yb Ms just assume that they are a part of the Hs/Fn Ms society. Well, so did my landlord think.

On the day of the protest, when the yaro boys started their calling, my landlord stepped out to go and pray in the Msq. I mean, he simply thought that "come on, it's my guys on the fracas, I'll just pass through them." That was his mistake. Right in front of the Msq, they did it to him. Literally his family was called to come and pack him in polyethylene bag. I am sure many people know the guy. He was even from Kogi. He thought he was a part of them, but they never saw him as such.

Same as this guy thinks he has an ally in the North, but the same people are pllaning a coup in his very Aso Rock.

No time for photoops. Motivate the troops to go harder on the killers and plunderers.

Identify, prosecute and shame their sponsors.

Sovereign states should be allowed to handle their affairs without external meddling.
That opinion belongs to yesterday. The U.N.O. has since authorised USA to intervene in any nation on earth who have become disgraceful in their inability to manage their affairs well. Imagine crisis in Nigeria that internally displaces over 200 million people! Africa will convulse and the entire world will become unsettled. That is the truth Sir. Nigeria needs help to stop the obvious targeted genocide against Christians in Nigeria and the attendant general insecurity in the nation. See, Muslims in Nigeria who subscribe to the idea of Islamising Nigeria and dipping the Quoran in the Atlantic all the way from the Sokoto Caliphate can forget IT! That Jihadist focus is one major reason why the Federal Government have been complicit by default in failing to clear out the Islamist murderers and terrorists. Another reason is political considerations so they won't lose elections and that applies to Obasanjo, Jonathan and Tinubu. For Buhari the wicked man who lived and led Nigeria thrice he was clearly an Islamist skilled in deploying Taqqiya to further the cause of Islamism that denies others the right to live and let live!
