Deeegbee:He knows and that’s why he’s seeking for help here. This is not the time to start making people feel bad the more. We all know what it means to get an ITA this days |

Welcome24:I think/feel he has even being banned because he never came here to announce the outcome. If it resulted in PPR, he would have been happy to announce it on NL. Lot of PR applicants have being getting banned due to NOC Mismatch or false work experience. I learnt there is now an automatic rejection for those claiming cash salary payments from their employers. |

Deeegbee:The bolded is not true. Can't be outright! Though IRCC can tell when it's fake. Cash payment is the least thing to note when you're going to detect a fake work reference letter. Don't forget, some jobs abroad have option for cash payment. |

Please I have a few questions. 1. Would IRCC accept other evidence if my previous boss refuses to write me a reference letter? The documents I have are: -Appointment letter stating my start date and salary -Several letters indicating increase in my salary -An SOP sent via email showing my responsibility in great detail -An award certificate I received while working -My videos on the Instagram page of my work place. (some are even pinned) Please are there other documents I'll need to attach? My colleagues whom I worked with while I was there have all left the place except one who is lower in rank and has a completely different responsibility (More like dentist vs dental technologist). Could this person write a notarised reference for me? I am still going to ask my previous boss for a reference via email so that I can have better evidence. I previously asked for an experience letter via WhatsApp late last year and she accused me of not being interested in the wellbeing of her business because I didn't fill the exit interview form she sent me when I resigned. She stopped reading my messages afterwards. |

Zeemaan:You will need reference letter. Find a mutual ground to get that. |

Hello Gurus. I have been silently following this thread for years and my time has come to talk. I have a situation that appears unique and I feel like I need advice because I have not seen this scenario before. My wife received an ITA in November last year under the FSW Express Entry healthcare draw. At the time we were not married but we were actively doing marriage counselling in preparation for marriage (without a specific wedding date in mind). We decided that it would make sense for us to get married in time so she could add me to her application after submitting it. She submitted and got her AOR in December and by January she had done medicals and biometrics. We did our court wedding in February this year after which she added me to her application. I did my medicals and biometrics in March and in that same month, we responded to an ADR for proof of relationship status and travel history (for me). Since then we've been waiting for an update and my wife just received an ADR for a request for an interview at High Commission in Lagos. The letter seems to indicate that it is geared towards spousal sponsorship because she was asked to bring "Your sponsor’s updated telephone number and contact information. We may contact your sponsor by telephone during or after the interview." Who is her sponsor when we are both here in Nigeria and she is the principal applicant? Am I required to go for the interview as well even though my name was not mentioned? Has anyone faced this scenario before? I would appreciate any helpful insights |

Adey316:No fears, follow the instructions and go for the interview. They're two parties involved in spousal sponsorship visa application. The sponsor spouse and the sponsored spouse. Your wife is the sponsor since she's the primary applicant. If she declared married after AOR, she'd have to provide updated contact information. This include change of address. |

Ontarioo:I tried that when I wanted to register with the health authority of the country I am currently in. I needed reference letters for my dataflow. She refused to grant me the request. She doesn't even read my messages again. How possible is it to find mutual ground in this situation? I'll still try sha. |

Hello everyone, Please I need your advice regarding my profile. My last PR application was refused due to not meeting the education requirements for NOC. I have decided to reenter the pool using my current job( 2 years.) The issue is that I realized during my last application I made a mistake in the start date of my education. I realized during my profile review I CHOSE SEPTEMBER instead of MARCH. I am seeking advice on what to do to rectify this issue so as not to complicate my application or be issued a misrepresentation finding Take note my education was recorded in my GCMS note "ECA report Verified on issuing agency website; foreign credential confirmed on ECA site ECA Canadian Equivalency Summary reported by issuing agency as Master's degree Foreign credential provided" Please what should I do regarding this, your insights and advice will be appreciated |

Skim319:If you have Masters, what NOC did you use in your previous application, and what extra education requirement did you not meet? Letter of explanation should explain the error in your start date. |

Noc 31121 dietician. I worked as a Nutritionist. I did not meet the employment requirements regarding education. It requires bsc in dietetics and nutrition and a registration exam. Does that mean LOE alone would suffice as i have submitted a PR application before BigdaddyPR: |

Hello my people, I’m a currently based in the middeast with my wife and a baby. I’ve been working here for a few years as a technician with hands-on experience in: IT cabling & network setups CCTV and security system installations. I have security system certification from an institution here in UAE. I am also aood in electrical installations. Academically, I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities, but most of my work experience is technical. I’ll be 41 years old by march 2026, and I’ve managed to save about $27,000 USD to support our relocation plan. My goal is to move to Canada with my family, ideally through a pathway that allows me to work directly or through a provincial nomination (PNP). I’d appreciate advice from anyone here who has followed a similar route or successfully relocated with a trade/technical background: Which provincial programs currently favor technicians or general trades? Would it be wiser to start with an employer-sponsored job or go through Express Entry + PNP? How much does my humanities degree help in improving CRS points or eligibility? I’m really serious about making this move the right way, so any recent experiences, recommendations, or tips will be appreciated. Thanks in advance! |

IRCC prefers a reference letter on company letterhead. It must show job title, start date, end date, hours per week, salary, and detailed duties. If you cannot get it, IRCC allows alternate proof. You must show that you tried to get the letter. Keep proof of your attempts. A colleague can write a statutory declaration or sworn affidavit describing your role and duties. The person does not need to be senior to you. They only need direct knowledge of your work. Notarize the affidavit. Zeemaan: |

Canada evaluates you mainly on work experience, age, language score, and proof of funds. Your degree helps you qualify for Express Entry but does not increase your chances as much as strong language scores and work experience. Your degree does not need to match your job. IRCC cares about your work experience and language scores, not the field of your degree. At 41, CRS drops a lot. A job offer used to give extra CRS. That rule is gone. LMIA still helps you get a work permit, but it no longer boosts CRS. Right now, French is the strongest lever. If you get CLB 7 in French, you unlock: • Federal French category draws. Lower CRS cutoffs. • Ontario French stream. No job offer required. You can run both plays at the same time. Study French for TEF or TCF, target CLB 7. Apply for jobs as a technician in Atlantic and rural provinces. If an employer bites, enter through work permit. If not, French gives you a path through Express Entry or PNP. Do not overthink the degree. IRCC accepts any degree if your experience matches the NOC you claim. Focus on French and your work history. That is what will move your file. lovere: |

lovere:Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) A Labour Market Impact Assessment is a document that allows a foreign worker to apply for a work permit. However, it is the employer not the worker who must apply for the LMIA. Once the employer receives a positive LMIA from the government, the foreign worker can then use it to submit their work permit application. Unfortunately, the LMIA system is also one of the most commonly misused pathways for obtaining work permits and accessing cheap labour. Back in 2023 it was selling for about 49,000CAD hahahah on Facebook market place it cost the employer $1,000 to apply for it but they ilegally charge the foreign worker as much as $50,000CAD for it Mind you its meant to be free to the foreign worker rumor has it one guy made over 1.7 million CAD from LMIA scam and he didn't even have a Farm or work for this workers hahahahahhahah Indian guy off coz that's why the government stop it from adding to PR points https://x.com/KanwarSierah/status/1827099665814208688?s=20

Hi everyone. Please I have an urgent question. Can I remove a job from my work experience in my profile post-ITA and just leave it only in the 10-year personal history? For context, the job I want to remove doesn't add any mark to my CRS score as the other jobs there make up more than 3 years, and the only reason why I added it pre-ITA was because I honestly thought it was required to list all your jobs in your profile, and now i am having a hard time getting a reference letter from the company. So can I remove it now from the professional experience but indicate it in the personal history and attach an LOE? Thank you. |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by Ontarioo: 1:37pm On Nov 08, 2025 |
samuel42:If you didn't claim point for the job, you don't need reference letter for it. Do not remove it. List it again in your personal history and move on. You must file all your work history in the last 10 years even if you're not claiming point for them (this will look like you are updating work history activity twice). |

1 Ifetech81:Since she already sent her new passport and medicals through web forms, the best step now is to wait patiently it can take a few weeks for IRCC to update her file. Honestly, only a patient person can deal with IRCC ! |

But any job you put in your work history Pre-ITA, a place holder is automatically created for submission of proof of that work experience. If a LOE is not submitted in that placeholder won't the application be deemed as incomplete? Ontarioo: |

samuel42:You can always edit your profile post ITA so pls go ahead and remove any irrelevant job from work history BUT leave it in your personal history, provided when you remove it, your CRS with the remaining jobs in work history is the same or higher then your ITA CRS. See FAQ 17 for details. |

GraciousWords:Please, I don't understand this. What do you mean personal history? I only put one job in work history on the Canada website because that is the only relevant experience and the rest will require me to look for former staff which I don't want to. Must I put all my job history? The job I put is between 2020 -2021 |

Dear Colleagues, I trust you all are doing well. I need to ask a few questions for those in the UK, Canada and America . This is a question for the people resident not tourist. Aside education route, which other route do you advise is quicker to come over. Kindly advise , even though I have quite knowledge in alot of these routes, I want to hear from someone or people who are ground sharing real time experiences. Thanks |
| Re: Canadian Express Entry/Federal Skilled Worker Program - Connect Here Part 11 by affoncad: 1:09pm On Nov 10, 2025 |
hunee:Relocation is not fast but If you’re looking for a faster route and not ready to study french , consider investment immigration but it requires substantial funds. The U.S. EB-5 Green Card needs about $800,000–$1 million USD, Canada’s Start-Up Visa or Québec Investor Program starts from around CAD $250,000, and the UK Innovator Founder Visa typically requires around £250,000 in investment. These routes are faster than study or work pathways if you have the capital. |
