My name is S.O Peter, I was born and raised in Yelwata community, Guma Local Government Area of Benue State. I am married and I have 2 daughters.

June 11th 2025, we noticed strange movements of Islamic Terrorists on our farmland, myself and some community leaders informed the Security personnels( Nigerian Army and Police) who are few kilometers away. But they ignored us and warned to arrest and jail us if we report such to them again. June 13th, more 300 people were slaughtered in what i will describe as a targeted massacre of we Christians in the Yelwata community.

The Islamic terrorists razed our homes, destroyed our properties, and displaced hundreds of residents in the coordinated killings.

The Nigerian Government and the Security Personnels controls the local press in manipulating the narrative of violent incidents to downplay religious persecution and shield the perpetrators.

Right now as I type this, a lot of families are now taking refuge in Internally Displaced Persons IDPs camps across Benue State.

We the people of Yalwata and Benue State in general are in support of the moves by United States President, Donald Trump to come to our aid and end Christian genocide in Yalwata and Nigeria as a whole.
