2weeks ago i was in Uyo, i heard something that really startled me.
Some guy went to his friend's birthday party, came back around 2:30am, he was stopped by efcc, initially he didn't know who they were, but having flash their torch towards him, he stopped, one of them came down, asked him few questions, he identified himself, this man is a sailor, he works offshore, he politely identified himself, the next thing the efcc personnel said he is obstructing justice, imagine the statement from someone who firstly is doing illegal raid..
The man question him what he means by obstructing justice, the next thing they pounce on him, used the butt of gun to hit this man n his brother...
During the scuffle, car key disappear, they had to tow this man's car to their office, detained him without allowing him make contact with his family to atleast know his whereabout..
Imagine the lawlessness of our security personnel all because the Judiciary has been bastardized and abused by the politicians...

These guys need to be cautioned on how they deal with citizens...

This was someone who identified himself, gave them his IDs, they checked his phones, found nothing...
Why not allow him go?

Do you think it's easy like that in Nigeria just get a good lawyer, do you know that NDLEA arrested a man that just sat at the front of a shop just to receive fresh air do there is hard drug in the shop the next thing he was snap with the drug as the owner

You are correct but sometimes the officials change the narrative when they notice such incident just to avoid unnecessary uprising by the people. Nothing should make you kill yourself in Nigeria when the uniform men come for you including efcc, as long as you have the money to spend, you will be fine lass lass

EFCC's mode of operation needs to be addressed. If you are active on social media, you would see stories of how they raid student lodges, NYSC lodges, bars, hotels and even residential houses. How do you storm houses at unholy hours? C'mon na! Let's stop encouraging nonsense. Someone would think it is armed robbers and act irrationally.

They said he was not a suspect, why is he now labelled as suspected Yahoo boy? What if the guy jumped cos he thought they were "bad elements" raiding the house?

If they left after the incident, obviously without arresting anybody, then what was the nature/source of their "intelligence" that informed the raid?

Oga you hear commotion at night and it causes panic for some people, not every one has strong mind. Beside how would the resident have know it was efcc, what if it was armed robbers? If someone comes and knocks on your door at odd time of the day and says he is efcc you should open the door, what will be your reaction?
Oga many years ago, at my family home security called us that people were at our gate claiming to be police ie around 2am, police from out of state. Omo all the big people in the corridors of power we called including top officers adviced us to find a way to escape, infact one a retired DIG said shebi that your compound is big, find one way to climb fence and secure yourself, later we can now find out the problem and solve it. Which is what we all did, we got ladder and climbed fence to the next building, one of my siblings had driven down from his house to pick us. Next day problem was sorted out.
Don't blame the boy, rather blame the efcc who raided at ungodly hour considering the security situation in the country.

The poor dont have the money that all of this will require....he may not evn know its efcc coming...efcc shd learn to handle people better.

Most times, they arrest innocent people, confiscate their gadgets, vehicles, force them to empty their accounts before they are released.

The persons you people call criminal, if Efcc sees you too they will be able to incriminate you. It doesn't take much.
