BBC DG And CEO Resign After They Were Exposed To Have Distorted Trump’s Speech. by Penguin2(op):
The General Manager Tim Davie and the CEO of BBC have both been forced to resign after The Telegraph exposed them to have distorted Trump’s January 6th, 2021 speech to make it seem like Trump incited his supporters into rioting and overrunning the Capitol.
Summary

BBC chair Samir Shah is expected to apologise in a written statement to a parliamentary committee today

BBC director general Tim Davie and CEO of News Deborah Turness resigned on Sunday night, after criticism that Panorama misled viewers by editing a speech by Donald Trump

The Telegraph published a leaked BBC memo suggesting the programme pushed two parts of Trump's speech together so he appeared to explicitly encourage the Capitol Hill riots of January 2021

The wide-ranging memo also criticised other areas of BBC News coverage - the memo's author said he sent it in "despair at inaction by the BBC Executive"

Davie says: "There have been some mistakes made and as director general I have to take ultimate responsibility" - read it in full

This is seismic, writes our media editor Katie Razzall. I can't help thinking there is more to this than meets the eye

The media have been exposed
Just imagine if they could do this to the president of the United States of America, what they have done to others.

This people told the world that the 1966 coup was “Igbo Coup” and Igbo haters have continued to use that as their justification for their atrocities against Ndigbo.

Recently, they had the audacity to question the statistics that Trump relied on to designate Nigeria as a Country of Particular Concern.

They have been supporting Hamas against Israel since Oct 7 happened.

It’s so dumbfounding how they became everything anti-Western morality and got infested with wokeism and the defense of Islamic interests.

Good to see them finally getting exposed for who they are.

Too bad! So this how Donald Trump was so demonized by even the British own media? This is one bad angle to technology. It is being manipulated for evil intent.

BBC is an evil media. Very evil. They support all manner of evil and terrorism.

No 1 in fake news and propaganda.

President Trump should ban them from coming to the White House.

If it happened in your country, you all would say "even the media isnt independent"

Its funny how you are quick to make unneeded comparison but more worrying how you excuse every actions of Trump

Same Trump said if that muslim won the NY Gov poll, he would seize ever funds meant to be sent to then. Most of you dribbled around that, but condemned Tinubu for doing so allegedly. Its funny how you see good in others but not in yourself. The inferiority complex runs really deep
