Thank you for talking. Some of us are adamant to play the same blind, foolhardy and utterly unproductive politics that our grandparents and parents played. These ethnoreligious politics got us no where and now many of us have inherited that same blindness all in the name of politics and tribe, if and when they strike across the country, we would all run helter skelter but by then there would be no help. Has the veteran Nigerian journalist from Okunland in Kogi State, Babajide Kolade-Otitoju (of the famous "Journalists Hangout" on TVC which is owned by this same Nigerian President 'Bola Tinubu been informed yet?). You guys have to contact him by phone and email URGENTLY for him to use his powerful media and military connections to bring attention and stability to Okunland and Kwara State. If you don't know who he is, just Google his names and you'll see his brilliant commentaries on counter terrorism and security matters including economic perspectives on TVC's YouTube channel.

By the way, what is happening to the use of physical weapons and powerful metaphysical powers that have existed for centuries among the Okuns and other Yoruba subgroups? You guys have to fortify yourselves instead of fleeing from Fula militia bandits or have you all abandoned your cultural values for the lame promise of Xtianity? I read a Punch newspaper article online within the last 10 years that internationally respected Ifa Priests (otherwise called Babalawos) such as Chief Elebuibon make "ayeta and okigbe" for Yoruba clients and folks but there are rules that you mustn't use it for negative activities for efficiency.

These foreign Fula militia bandits who come in illegally across the Northern borders from the West African Sahel countries such as Cameroon, Niger Republic, Chad, Mali, Burkina Faso, Senegal, Mauritania, etc, themselves are NOT just armed but are using jazz or talismans as well. They all had to escape through another exit and he said he had to abandon his farmlands in Kwara State.

It was this same UK-educated Ijebu man from Ogun State who BLUNTLY stated on the program that he was going to fortify himself because of these bandits and he said others too should go back to their ancestral homelands to fortify themselves. This is coming from a widely-traveled man who lived and schooled in the United Kingdom for years before returning to Nigeria to invest and help to grow the Nigerian economy but insecurity chased him out of Kwara State 3 years ago.

I have a lot of friends in Okun but I am not Okun myself, Before the attack that happened this morning, as early as Saturday morning, a friend that I have known for well over 20 years from his time in Lagos who still visits family over there regularly, had informed me of the rumours of suspected attacks so I have been watching and hoping the attacks wouldn't happen, unfortunately it did.

Forget the tribal argument and petty grievances we all show on Nairaland, My friends over there have deep concerns for matters on my side of the niger, so I am also very much concerned with the developments over there as well and I have been there on numerous occasions, particularly . That was 4 years ago. There's been numerous negotiations thereafter and several payouts (if true). Yet, things are only getting worse.

Farmers whose produce have been destroyed have no compensation. Those displaced have been abandoned in IDP camps. Gumi only sees the nomadic Fulani suffering without due consideration for others.

The crisis in Okunland is being downplayed. Its a ticking time bomb.

His traditional ruler in his Okun community even gave him a chieftaincy title about 3 years ago, so, he'll definitely contact President 'Bola Tinubu, the senior military command, and more because that's his area of Kogi State.

I watched the FULL interview that Seun had 4 years ago on Channels Television in Kaduna which you posted on this thread with that IRRESPONSIBLE fellow and ex-army officer called Gumi and was stunned by his deliberate attempt to deflect attention from naming the real people the foreign Fulas are attacking up far North. What he failed to directly say is that the clashes are between the Fulas and the majority indigenous Hausa people of the North West Hausa States. These foreign Fulas have since the late 1990s (Yes 1990s! till date) been invading Hausaland and forcibly renaming Hausa communities to Fulani names (under the watch of the minority Fula Governors of those indigenous Hausa States), Plateau, Benue Nassarawa, and Southern Kaduna for instance. In September 2001 during the President Olusegun Obasanjo's government these foreign Fulas militias invaded Plateau State communities and changed the names of those indigenous communities to Fula names. This is what Gumi who is a Fula, is hiding from the world while FALSELY claiming that it's cattle rustling that led these foreign Fulas into banditry. Besides Nigeria doesn't have ANY business taking care of foreign Fula and herders with Nigerian money. They should go back to their origin Sahelian region countries and leave Nigeria alone. People cannot go to their farms to reduce poverty and some Fulas have created a coalition political party in order to get back to power and continue the oppressions. The majority indigenous Hausa people have vowed NOT to vote any minority Fula politician in their States again due to religion in several videos I have seen online since 2024.

For those of us who have had advanced knowledge of global geopolitics over the years, it's far BETTER for the United States' military to work in partnership with the Nigerian military to tame and kick the jihadi terror groups such as BH (of the Lake Chad Basin), the BH breakaway jihadi group ISWAP, JNIM of Tuareg origins in Mali and Niger Republic), foreign Fula militia, and Lakurawa bandits (of foreign Tuareg origin from Niger Republic and Northern Mali).

I fear it might be too late for the Hausa unfortunately, as the entire political structures in these states are completely controlled by the Fula people who can trace their lineage to the Berbers who dwell in the deserts, they are not a people from the Savannah region like the Hausa or from the vegetative green lands that belong to those indigenous to the north central but they have forced their way in there and are now destroying farms as the culture of cultivation is foreign to them.

My question now is this, have our media houses been complicit all this time? and what exactly would it take for the entire SE,SW,NC region to launch a proper counter defence against these invaders?

As for the Hausa, they need to first of all remove the chain of slavery from their neck by asking that the Hausa are recognized as a stand alone group in the census report, the Fulani played a mastermind trick when they coined the "Hausa-Fulani" phrase with the help of the British, since this hybrid artificial ethnic group was created, the Hausa have rapidly declined and involuntarily ceded power to the Fulani while being lied to that the Hausa Fulani have a common goal.

I have already forwarded the name of Mr Babajide Kolade-Otitoju to my friend and I trust he would share it to the relevant authorities and traditional figures there as he has family there and is terribly concerned. It is time for the youths, the church and the traditional councils across Nigeria to come together and stage an aggressive push back against these destructive invaders whose sole purpose in life is to conquer west africa for their arab over-lords, interestingly the arabs consider the Fula illegitimate and would never accept them, if you are interested in that you can read up on the origins of the Fula people. Indeed, I read through your post carefully twice and you do have a firm understanding of the geopolitical dynamics at play. I'm glad you've reached out to your Okun friends with Babajide Kolade-Otitoju's details. He'll definitely hit the ground running because he was very close to the late Chief-of-Army Staff General Lagbaja and he knows a lot of senior officers. Besides President 'Bola Tinubu is his boss and owner of TVC. I wasn't happy that the POTUS, Donald Trump was careless in revealing his plans on social media instead of his Goverment to have directly contacted the Nigerian President in private for joint military operations, intelligence gathering and sharing including surveillance and attack drone strikes on jihadi and Fula militia locations in the forests of Northern and Middle Belt areas of Nigeria.
