Nigeria has been living in denial and the politicians have run out of options. They have played all the cards they can but no human lives is worth their division. Even when I hear this current debate, I shiver when people are not bothered by non-Christians dying and they call it collateral damage. I have seen so far that African indigenous religion still remain very tolerant as they don't force anyone but adherents of Islam and Christianity in African want to force everyone to their side and don't remember the humanity in them.


They keep dividing us. They say you are Christian, that one is Muslim. You go to the north, they say you are not authentic Muslim, you go to the South, they say your Christianity is prosperity Christianity. One say you are Shia, another say you are Sunni. One say you are Tijanniyah, another say they are Aluh Sunnah. One say you are pentecostal, another say they are catholic. One say they are 7th day Adventist, anothet say you are 1st Night Celestial.

One say you are not Nigerian enough, then you travel out and another recognizes you as African. Then the African American says you're not from us, you are not us. You just have our blood. Another one say you are indigenous. They say you are Yoruba, they say your Yoruba is Akan, it is Ẹ̀gbá, it is this and that. You go to the South East, they say you are from a caste..... Do you see that discrimination never stops? You will never be able to satisfy human beings because they will keep dividing us no matter what. Think about it. Us vs them. Humanity dies.

Despite all the division every sane human being should recognise the sanctity of human life - no matter your creed or religion

A Catholic Bishop in Nigeria’s Diocese of Sokoto has likened the increased killings of Nigerian Christians by Fulani herdsmen who also target Muslims in the west African country to genocide, a statement that concurs with a recently published report in the United Kingdom (UK) that suggests unfolding genocide in Nigeria.

In an interview with Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), Bishop Matthew Kukah who was asked whether he agreed that the Fulani killings of Christians can be categorized as genocide according to international law said, “I believe so.”
