Regina Daniels and Her Family Are Absolutely Wrong in Their Actions Ned Nwoko Must Defend His Reputation at All Costs

The Chairman of Concerned Nigerians for Better Nigeria (CNBN), Olorogun Godwin Obire, PhD, has openly condemned the continued social media outbursts by Nollywood actress Regina Daniels and her family against her husband, Senator Prince Ned Nwoko. Obire, who had earlier appealed to the couple to settle their marital differences privately, has now described Regina and her family’s recent conduct as “reckless, manipulative, and deliberately orchestrated to tarnish Senator Nwoko’s public image for political purposes.” He advised the senator to protect his good name at all costs, stressing that “reputation is not something a man gambles with in public debates.”

According to Dr. Obire, speaking with journalists in Asaba, “You don’t accuse a man of domestic violence when there is no evidence. You don’t invade his home, damage property, and expect forgiveness simply because he’s your sister’s husband. Actions have consequences. When people start confusing freedom of speech with freedom to defame, they destroy both family and public trust.” He emphasized that false allegations against a public servant during a pre-election season could only be interpreted as a calculated attempt to ruin his credibility ahead of 2027.

Dr. Obire further stated that what Senator Nwoko is doing defending his image and setting clear boundaries is exactly what a man of integrity should do. “Silence doesn’t always mean guilt; sometimes it’s restraint. But when lies begin to spread like wildfire, the right thing to do is to stand firm and cut them off. Ned Nwoko is right to speak up,” he said. “Accountability goes both ways, and those peddling falsehoods must also be held responsible for the damage they cause.”

Addressing claims made by Regina Daniels’ mother, Rita Daniels, Dr. Obire described her remarks as “an insult to the Anioma people.” He recalled that Senator Nwoko served honorably as a member of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2003, contributing significantly to Nigeria’s recovery of the Paris Club refund. “It is absurd and disrespectful,” he said, “for anyone to suggest that Regina’s fame or money made Ned Nwoko a senator. The voters of Delta North elected him not Nollywood fans. Regina Daniels’ popularity is irrelevant in a region that values performance, not theatrics.”

Obire also accused the Daniels family of greed and hypocrisy, alleging that Rita Daniels orchestrated her daughter’s marriage for financial gain. “She pushed her daughter into this union purely for money, ignoring even her ex-husband’s warnings. Now she plays the victim while feeding off Ned’s generosity,” he said. According to him, Rita Daniels has consistently acted out of selfish interest, exposing her family’s lack of morals and parental discipline. He noted that the family’s behavior has already led to multiple controversies, including the arrest of Regina’s brother, Sammy West, over drug related and financial crimes.

Continuing, Obire stated that Senator Nwoko had done far more for Regina Daniels and her family than any man could reasonably be expected to do. “He funded their education, gave them business opportunities, and provided them with luxury and comfort. Yet, instead of gratitude, they repay him with betrayal and public humiliation. From Regina’s recent video posts, it is obvious that she is struggling with substance abuse her expressions and behavior show clear signs of instability,” Obire observed, adding that her violent outbursts against staff were symptomatic of deeper personal issues, not marital oppression.

The CNBN Chairman further emphasized that Senator Nwoko’s other wives maintain peaceful homes and mutual respect, proving that the problem lies not with Ned but with Regina and her family’s toxic interference. “When every other wife is living peacefully, yet one household constantly breeds drama, it becomes clear where the problem lies. Regina’s mother and siblings have been the source of negativity, poisoning her mind and ridiculing her husband on social media for cheap attention,” Obire said. “That is not freedom of expression it is pure malice.”

Commenting on the viral video depicting a confrontation between Regina’s family and Senator Nwoko’s security team, Obire described it as “a Nollywood-style setup.” He alleged that the scene was staged in Ned Nwoko’s absence to deceive the public and create a false narrative of domestic abuse. He went on to reveal that Regina’s brother and his associates form a “syndicate” supplying her with hard drugs and manipulating her to rebel against her husband. “It is a shame that private marital issues are being weaponized online. Such behavior is not only immoral but politically motivated to weaken Ned’s standing before the 2027 elections,” he added.

Dr. Obire concluded by describing Regina Daniels’ conduct as a reflection of the dangers of ingratitude. “Ned Nwoko has shown tolerance and love beyond measure, yet Regina and her family repay him with scandal. She claimed she married at 17, yet her own voter’s card proves otherwise so who is lying? This level of deceit is disgraceful,” he said. “Senator Prince Ned Nwoko must protect his reputation from these malicious attempts to bring him down. The Daniels family has crossed the line, and the public must not be fooled by their performance. Reputation is built over a lifetime, and no ungrateful family should be allowed to destroy it overnight.”

When she started saying she was 17 years old again when she married Ned in one of her last videos was when I realized how wicked and manipulative she and her family are. She adjusts her age from time to time to suit her situation and circumstances. Who does that?
