Brilliant Super Eagles stars on Saturday 🦅 🇳🇬

As they keep fit for the playoffs

✅ Moses Simon struck the winning goal to power Ligue 1 newboys Paris FC to a surprise 1-0 away win at AS Monaco

✅ Semi Ajayi was a rock in defence as Hull City claimed a 2-0 away win at Norwich City

✅ Calvin Bassey, Alex Iwobi and Samuel Chukwueze all impressed as Fulham strolled to a convincing 3-0 home win over Tolu Arokodare's Wolves.

✅ Taiwo Awoniyi made an eye-catching appearance from the bench in Nottingham Forest's thrilling 2-2 Premier League draw with Manchester United

✅ Victor Boniface made the starting lineup again for Werder Bremen in their fine 1-1 Bundesliga draw away at Mainz 05

✅ Victor Osimhen and Paul Onuachu cancelled each other out as Galatasaray and Trabzonspor played out a boring goalless draw in Istanbul.

✅ Anthony Dennis, who has been called the next Wilfred Ndidi, was excellent in midfield for Göztepe in their impressive 1-0 win at home to Gençlerbirliği in the Turkish Super Lig.

✅ Raphael Onyedika made his long-awaited return from injury to help Club Brugge claim a 2-1 win over FCV Dender EH in Belgium. Youngster Benjamin Fredrick played every single minute for the visitors.

NIGERIA AGAINST GABON PLAYOFF 13th November 2025 in Morocco.

A LOOK AT
the Gabonese national football team

The Gabonese national team is ranked 77 in the world and 17 in Africa (October FIFA rankings). Let's look at their strengths and weaknesses

Strengths

1. Experienced Players: The team has experienced players like Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who is Gabon's top scorer with 39 goals. Aubameyang has been instrumental in the team's success, for both club and international games.

2. Skilled Midfielders: Players like Didier Ibrahim Ndong and Guélor Kanga bring creativity and skill to the midfield, allowing the team to control the pace of games.
3. Goalkeeping: Loyce Mbaba has been the team's first-choice goalkeeper, demonstrating his abilities between the sticks.

Let's consider their weaknesses

1. Inconsistent Form: Gabon has struggled with consistency in their performances, often failing to replicate their successes in major tournaments.
2. Lack of Depth: The team has limited depth in certain positions, making them vulnerable to injuries and suspensions.
3. Defensive Vulnerability: watch their match against Gambia you will see that their defense 'dey leak' Gabon has conceded goals in critical matches, highlighting the need for a more solid defense.
4. Limited World Cup Experience: Despite their efforts, Gabon has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, which remains a significant challenge for the team, but this may be a great motivation when they confront the Super Eagles of Nigeria come 13th of November.

Looking at the Gabonese national team one can say they are dangerous if the opponent slack. I pray Super Eagles will not slack

Something tells me of a truth Lookman , Akor, Chukwueze and Osimhen should start or even keep Osimhen on the bench for 1st 25minutes such that if those guys(Lookman, Akor and Chukwueze) can't score against Gabon he should be introduced at the 25th minute. I say this against the backdrop of the fact that Coach Mouyouma of Gabon has his main plan as : CONTAINING OSIMHEN.
So if those 3 players should be on ground or the 3 plus Osimhen, Gabonese goalkeeper will concede more than 3 goals altogether in the game.

Potentially, Nigeria is the best African country in football alongside Morroco.

So then I really don't understand why we are struggling to qualify for the WC through play offs?

Nigeria has all it takes to qualify for the intercontinental WC playoffs next year, unless for indiscipline.

What is it about this players strike and refusal to train. What is it about our inability to organize ourselves.
Why is this country so hard to govern well.
Why is every little thing rocket science and a trip to colonize Mars.
