President Tinubu should declare a national state of emergency on healthcare. Even the presidency relies on treatment abroad, which is the clearest evidence that our system is broken from top to bottom.

Nigeria does not lack medical expertise. Nigerian doctors keep the American healthcare system functioning. Our crisis is not skill, it is governance, leadership, and administrative collapse.

If we fail to act, we will wake up one day with the borders tightened, the doors closed, and no choice but to build a collapsed sector from the ashes. Better to start the reconstruction now, deliberately, strategically, and urgently, before we are forced to do it in panic.

You get a Job, you jump on medical insurance with monthly premiums which are expensive.

US has the most expensive medical cost in the advanced world.

UK, Europe including Scandinavia, all provide free and comprehensive medical care.

Who says there's a free medicare for citizens? I said the news post was for intending immigrants (those who wish to emigrate to us for whatever reasons) . Foreigners( as you wrongly put it) entering or seeking a visa to enter the usa is a non-immigrant so the news isn't for them. Though no free medicare, there's health insurance for both eligible immigrants and citizens that reduces medical bills significantly.
