The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, faction loyal to the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT)l, Nyesom Wike, has warned members across the country to boycott the planned national convention in Ibadan, Oyo State.

The faction insisted that a new court order had invalidated the process. This comes against the backdrop of a suit filed by former Jigawa State governor Sule Lamido, which produced a court pronouncement that the Wike bloc says has introduced fresh legal uncertainty over the convention.

Speaking to Vanguard, the Acting National Youth Leader of the faction, Timothy Osadolor, stated that the party cannot legitimately proceed with the Ibadan gathering until its internal disputes are resolved and stakeholders agree on the next steps.

“Well, I’ve told you before. What they are doing in Ibadan is just an early Christmas party. But again, even the early Christmas parties are still not going to hold,” he said.

According to him, the ruling secured earlier on Tuesday further discredited the event.

“I’m sure you are aware of the court pronouncements from the suit filed by former governor Sule Lamido earlier today. That has also told them that the early Christmas party is not even properly constituted and organised,” he added.

The PDP youth leader urged party members nationwide not to risk travel or spend money attending an exercise he insisted has no legal or organisational foundation

PDP and it's promoters, most especially Seyi Makinde and Bala Mohammed should wrap it up and accept reality that PDP has finally come to it's end.
One of the biggest challenge of PDP is finance. In the years past, the SA states have been the financial backbone of the party, but same can't be said today. And if they think Fubara will use Rivers state money to finance PDP, they must be joking.

The Young Officer did not Slay Wike at all...

Wike rather exposed the Impunity and indemnity that is rampant amongst highly placed individuals when it comes to building in the FCT...

(And Wike himself may be guilty of it too)

They were clearly developing on a piece of land for which they have no approval because if they indeed had the approval they would have presented it...

There would not be need for soldiers at the site...... Soldiers were there to intimidate and silent anyone asking for building permit ...

But this is not Abacha's era...

The place of soldiers remain the Barracks and Warfronts... And occasionally on Military establishments and sites

You don't see Soldiers guarding properties of Retired officers been developed in advanced nations when indeed they have government approval...

But I must say that it was very wrong for Wike to be calling that young officer a Fool in front of the Camera... And I like the response of the officer


But the right thing must be done if we are to progress as a nation...

Come to think of it....

It would cost that Retired Naval Officer little or nothing to obtain building approval for that land except the land was never legally handed to him .. ...

He may be having problems obtaining building approval probably because he got the land through the backdoor...
