oz4real83:Oh! Military is about lawlessness, killing extrajudicially and no respect for laws and orders of the land just like we had it during military era. People be supporting rubbish because they don’t like a particular person. Being a military man does not exempt you from getting a valid paper for your building construction or development, military no get two heads. We are all Nigerians, military or whatever are not more Nigerians than me or you. |

Same military that Buratai murdered a lot during his reign? Where is that soldier that exposed the hell out of him that year? Buratai is a devil incarnate. The only things he knows was chasing after Nnamdi Kanu & Sunday Igboho. Man that have so much hatred for the Christian. |

ALTERNATEID:we can only pray for Nigeria. The amount of ignorance is the land is so disturbingly hopeless. I believe Nigeria needs educational revolution than economic one. An army man interfering with force to impede government officials from doing their constitutional job. This is a coup already. |

ALTERNATEID:Have you heard the saying once a general always a general ...Military doesn't abide by this code you are talking about ...they might even disobey mr president order ...they value the order coming from the Military....The worse people to fight is the Military avoid having confrontation with them as a leader ...if you bastardise the Military...you destroy the country...Military doesn't need permission from anyone to topple any government ...You can only maintain good relationship with them ...fighting one of there's won't help ... Certain things require common sense...when nwike got there and discover that soldiers are there already ...he would have used his common sense and call the head of the soldiers ...listen to him after which he will go and use due process ...he can go to court ....he is a civilian bit yesterday he behaved like a soldier while the officer behaved like a civilian ...I can still see him.respect wike while wike insults him ... |

ALTERNATEID:You are missing the point. Wike ought to report the matter via Military channels or go to court. He can not give command to a Military Officer. Aside as a 3star General, the Navy has a responsibility to secure him, his family and properties for life, even after death, their wives still enjoy some privileges, so, as long as he claimed that property belong to him Navy will secure it. Even after CDS spoke to the Naval Officer, he didn't order him to leave the place. |

adams123:The FCT minister is the chief security officer of the FCT. All security arrangements and deployment should be reviewed by him. On no condition should soldiers be deployed to any part of the FCT without his knowledge. |

Houseofglam7:^^^ I cannot comment on this Abuja case until all the facts are out. Knowing the Nigerian military, one can easily decode that this message about respect is targeted at civilians. What I will tell you is this: Respect is earned. Respect is earned! It appears you are female. I can assure you that these people are not your friends and they will dehumanize and brutalize you if they think they can get away with it. Take a look at this link - it happened a long, long time ago but their mentality has not changed. Naval ratings (yes, from the same Nigerian navy) beating and whipping unarmed, defenceless women because they didn't 'clear road' fast enough. And their 'Oga at the top' actually opened his mouth and told the female driver of the vehicle that she was lucky to be alive. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ace8bNewrkE |

ALTERNATEID:You people don't understand how it works. A Military Officer is not trained to take instructions from a Governor, Senator, House of Reps member, Minister. They are trained to take instructions from Senior Ranking Military Officers and the President - who is the Chief of Armed Forces. Others do it out of respect to the political office holder. They can relate with you, but you can't order them around on relevant matters. So, if their Senior Millitary Officer has told them "nobody" they will obey it to the very end unless a senior or more senior level officer intervenes. Wike knows this and should have stopped the embarrassment before it started. By the way, that officer is a 3-star officer, in Military ranking, he may be higher or equivalent to Wike. By the way, I'm not taking sides. It is what they designed themselves that is playing out. We've seen videos of governors clashing with Millitary Officers. |

Lifestone:Unfortunately, a lot of you are poorly educated and that’s why you don’t understand how government works. The military is 100% under the control and authority of the civilian administration. They take orders from government officials and not the other way round. |

ALTERNATEID:Why didn't he force his way in yesterday? I was expecting that after he spoke to the Chief of Defence Staff, they would order them off the site. If you watch video, you would see that the Lieutenant also spoke to the same person using Wike's phone. Why didn't the soldiers vacate the property after call? Why was it wike who left instead. I pity bulldozers and demolition team that will be deployed there. If there was a wrong side in the yesterday's incidence, it definitely has to be Wike. If you want to fight for him, go to the said site and slap the soldiers on guard there. |

phoenix45:Do you know how many years I’ve also put into the service of my country? Is he the only person to have served the country? So, should everyone that has served also deploy soldiers to stop government officials from carrying out their duties? Do you guys understand the gravity of the lawlessness you’re encouraging? |

ALTERNATEID:You are saying rubbish. Wike has no control over the army or navy; only the C-in-C which is Tinubu. Despite the navy being deployed to the land, Wike has no authority to command them to leave or give him access. That said, it's now the responsibility of the CDS to investigate if the army deployment was illegal or not. |
