NothingDoMe:And if the said land had been illegally acquired and possessed,so the Governor / as FTC Minister -has no authority to reverse such illegality because he is a Former' Army Commander, abi? True, most of those Battles Wike is Fighting in Abuja today are those of ILLEGALITY -ON EVERY AREA OF ABUJA METROPOLITAN,BUT BECAUSE HE IS STEPPING ON THEIR TOES,MANY GAULIBLE AUDIENCES WILL NOT SEE THAT! Reference:this is prating. I don't think you fully understand the situation at hand. You're latching on to a general matter into this district peculiar case. Of course Donald Trump has deployed the national guard ok the streets of several states given the nature of violence. Nigeria also had same laws granting the president the right and powers to deploy the military with the approval of the NA. Now, if the military uses its personnel as private guards or vigilante, that's illegal and I have held many of such instances in my capacity for redress. Now if a military man will stop a Minister, being the extension of the presidency from performing his duties because there's vested interest, that's pushing the boundaries and becomes an illegality gone too far. So don't tell me about the usual nuances we see on a regular bases, that those need to be addressed first before we can talk about this. It makes no sense. |

Freshandfitpod:it point out why the they need to reshape the constitution concerning FCT it should be an electoral position not appointment if the FCT minister was a governor the military personnel wont have disobeyed as the constitutional power of an elected person over shadows them in time of peace |

Thundafireseun:You talk recklessly like Wike. And if there is no Nigeria soldier, you think, even, where you are now couldn't have been overrun by your 'highly rated' armed bandits or armed robbers? |

Buratai is yapping nonsense. Does Buratai even know who Wike represents? He represents the president |
| Re: Wike’s Clash With Military Officer, Threat To National Security — Buratai by Ihengwu: 9:40am On Nov 12, 2025 |
Wike behaved like a tout as always. What was he doing there when he knew there was already a conflict, to go and push away the soldiers?. The right thing would have been to call the COAS or CONS directly from the comfort of his officer and get the issue resolved. He was dishonorable yesterday. |

The moment d military allowed itself to be polarised was when u lost ur respect. U show power only against civilians while those wielding guns all around are pampered. If at all d military knew what they are doing, how did they find themselves in protection of land? |

princeade86:He's guarding a property of an ex service military man. That goes too far as far as following orders is concerned. Someone has made himself a scapegoat in all this |

being:👏👍,bro, you are so objective,in your analysis,no Party ambivalence,at all. Others will blame Wike , because of Party politics of hates but they forgot that Wike is the Governor of the FTC Abuja! |

owobokiri:Buratai is more than a serial killer, he's a mass murderer. He ordered the killings of minors, women including pregnant ones when the road he was supposed to pass through was blocked for another occasion by Zakyzaky and his followers. So, I'm not surprised by his comment and the side he took, that boy behaved more like him. Buratai believes that military should be untouchable |

misreal:Stop posting this crap all over the places. What authority does a young boy in uniform guarding the property of someone who is no longer in service have to be standing in the way of a serving minister who derives his authority and power from the president? That kind of mentality can only get you fired. The minister will report to the president and the president will tell your superior to query you and you can't escape such unhurt |

maasoap:What crap?. You know absolutely nothing about how the millitary operates yet you wouldn't humble yourself and learn. When wike called the chief of defence staff, why didnt the chief of defence staff order the boys out of there? Simple,a vice admiral remains a vice admiral event hough he is retired. These things are simple to understand bros |

being:I don't think you know what you're talking about. The navy guy was not being disrespectful in any way, Nigerians hav been bred to worship people in power to the point they no longer have dignity for themselves. The minister is a public servant not a king, you as a citizen have the right to stand up to him if he insults you in that manner. The military guy was following orders, You can argue whether the orders were standing on illegal premise or not, but that's not the business of the one following that order. If Wike has an issue with it he shouldn't confront the one following that order rather he should call the CNS and if he doesn't get a favourable response then he call the president. Wike doesn't have the constitutional powers to order any facet of the military, not even recruits and as a tout and uneducated person as he is, he brought himself down by exchanging words with a lieutenant who was standing on orders. |

Newsgeek24:Although Buraratai messed up under Buhari,he spoke the truth. Wike needs to be careful about making reckless statements because it can make good intentions look back. Nevertheless, the FCT minister is the custodian of ALL land in Abuja and so the military is subject to the law. |

dequir:Whether it is a job of a military man to guard or not is not be directed to the guy on site. That should be taken up at appropriate level. The guy was assigned to a duty by his superior and he was doing that. Wike cannot go there and harass him, if he has issue with the land, it should be taken up with the owner not with guy. You guys need to learn how to properly handle issue. |
