Opinion: Respect for Constitutional Authority

It is unfortunate that some people celebrate the open disrespect shown by an untrained individual towards the constitutionally empowered custodian of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Would he have dared to act that way toward a Northern minister?

The truth is that many are still bitter because Minister Wike is courageously revoking all illegal land allocations made to generals and privileged individuals during the military era. This move, though uncomfortable for some, is fully within his constitutional authority.

Those challenging him should take time to understand the provisions

My only problem with Wike is calling the guy a fool. That's very unbecoming of a anyone especially the head of govt in Abuja. He needs to watch his utterances.
