ARVs do not work like vitamins or immune boosters.
Their main job is to stop the HIV virus from multiplying. When HIV is controlled, the immune system (especially CD4 cells) has a chance to recover naturally. So, it’s not that the drugs strengthen the immune system, they just remove what’s weakening your immune.
So for non-HIV people, there’s no virus to suppress. If you don’t have HIV, your immune system isn’t under attack from the virus, so taking HIV medicine won’t give you any benefit. Might even cause harm to your liver.
