There is tribalism everywhere, there is nothing wrong in anyone being more comfortable as a member of a group of like minds sharing same tribal religious or cultural ideology. In America, there is tribalism too, White vs Black, Latino vs Indian, Asian vs Australian.

Only in Nigeria has tribalism acquired a negative connotation, but in all rationality and sanity, why shouldnt anyone not be more comfortable with people they share the same cultural affiliations with?

What is our binding culture in Nigeria, if we can get an ideology we can all coalesce around, then we can become the Nigerian tribe. If we cannot get this culture, then the smaller groupings will continue to be the intelligent way to protect ones interests
