Hey all I hope you are all doing well,

My dad is a very smart person that unfortunately fell to a spiritual church that has convinced him all his problems are spiritual. He’s had many problems with his health in America and believes that it is from evil spirits and that people in his family are cursing him and praying on his downfall everyday and that to prevent this he has to give people in Nigeria money so they can pray for him and do rituals. I’ve tried to speak to him and he’s just tried to make me seem like I am insane and I don’t know what to do anymore.

Imagine escaping from the adversity of Nigeria to the U.S only for you to start blaming witches and wizards for your misfortune in life...


Well,the real issue here is that, it's only a matter of time your popsman will realize he's only being used by those spiritualists just to enrish themselves

I’m at my wits end on what to do. This is unnatural and not real and these people have him roped in so hard

Is this common for Nigerians in diaspora?

Can someone please help me figure out a way out of this conundrum

There are only two categories of smart people on these planet today the first category are working towards settling all their disparities peacefully among themselves after realizing that there is nothing they brought into the world neither can they take anything out so they believe in a teacher who taught them never to let material possessions separate them from real friends. Matthew 6:19-21

The second category are people who are determined to do anything just to become rich so they have killed their conscience and nobody can stop them or convince them otherwise except death. We call them "ATHEISTS" some of them have mixed with different religions claiming they also believe in God but they believe only in themselves.

Apart from these two the rest are gullible followers!🙂

This is clearly the origin of his problem.
Telling himself lies.

So, pastors now sensed that since he is already having this kind of mind-set, it will be easy to brainwash him further and exploit his money
