How Nigerian Content Creators Destroyed Japa to UK by MatrixCircle(op): 6:58pm On Nov 15, 2025
When the japa madness started and peaked in 2022, 2023, that saw thousands of Nigerians relocated to UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ through students route, Care COS and less through other routes as Nurses etc.
Majority of these people became "CONTENT CREATORS " overnight, one can see them on Ticktok, X (twitter), Instagram etc discussing freely on how to secure COS, how they bought a house within 2 years, how to buy COS ,how to be a dependant, so many stuffs on social media platforms that are not supposed to be shared online. Cho cho cho, the result of all these is that UK πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§ immigration has tighten their visa rules and thousands of people will not be able to secure COS and will return home after resigning their jobs back home and sold properties to relocate.

The band wagon is moving to Canada πŸ‡¨πŸ‡¦, the cho cho cho is gradually getting there......especially ladies, all wants to create content.

They should stay away from the USA
Please inform them to keep their online madness with them in the UK there.

It's really worrying to see how sharing so much success online has backfired. When people publicly posted all the secrets about getting visas and buying certificates of sponsorship, it sadly made the UK government notice and tighten their rules. Now, many people who gave up everything to move are stuck and can't stay. It's a tough lesson that sometimes, it's better to be careful about what you share on the internet, because the consequences can affect so many others.

The tightening of immigration rules has little to do with the antics of "cho cho cho" content creators.

Japarism took off in response to labour shortages in the employment market, as a result of a hard-Brexit and the attendant consequences of Covid-19 - and nothing more. So if those oversharing content creators are guilty of anything, it is simply that they were naive to think the CoS route was going to persist forever in its original form. cool

Japa to the UK didn’t go wrong because of content creators.

It went wrong the moment the natives started feeling sidelined, housing scarcity, rising crime rates, and a belief that the government was treating illegal immigrants better than its own citizens.

That sentiment created the perfect environment for frustration to grow, and eventually pushed more people toward supporting far-right groups that are strongly anti-immigration.

I disagree with your second paragraph, a lot of the natives have felt that way since the 90's, they just never had it thrown in their faces so blatantly like Nigerians did.

Every single stuff we did to take advantage of their system, Indians have been doing it for ages, loud mouthed Nigerians were the ones that put it out there in a way that the natives could see.

Our own is too much.

Nigerians in UK talk too much online especially concerning japa. At some point, you would wonder if there are no Nigerians in the US, Canada, Australia and other countries.

There are more Nigerians in the US than in the UK but they don't make as much noise as the UK counterparts do. Because the pay in the UK is low, UK Nigerians take to 'oversabi' content creation to make more money.

You are informed and you have good sense. This is actually the main reason, and it is not happening in the UK alone.

Sounds like you have a small mind. The world is much bigger than you think and migration has gone on and would continue to go on for the whole of mans existence.

UK makes decisions based on numbers coming in. If Nigerians didn't go, perhaps Indians would have taken their space and the result would still be thesame.

I would only speak against those who markerted illegality. Those who spoke about their legal journey have every right to.

The driving force of those content creators is money. Same way most of those bad eggs in our society engage in various nefarious activities.
Portugal is now tightening their immigration because a lot of content creators were saying its easy to get residency/citizenship.
These present newly japa guys have a very messed up moral upbringing.
You can't compare them to those who have Japa many years ago.

I disagree with you
NIgerians are not even the majority of immigrants in the uk, plus anti-immigrant sentiment has been growing for years..it only just peaked with a lot of reports over the last 10-15 years with crimes commited by immigrants being widely reported, especially those in the uk illegally.

Then there is the rise of the New Far right, the rise of people like Farage, and the threat he poses to both tories and labour, and you get the picture.

Plus what the person you quoted said is right. Even now, many brits complain of large scale takeover of their neighbourhoods by immigrants who won't assimilate or learn english

Add the fact that the UK does need caregivers, and they aren't enough in the country, so they won't be angry with nigerians per se. Also, everyone immigranting to uk posts the same type of videos...how to get into the UK, etc.

It's not all Nigerian's fault. Denmark and Sweden are also shutting doors to immgration, and nigerians dont go there in their numbers.

Have you heard of the BNP or NF? They used to be allowed to do Party political broadcasts in telly despite being outright racist, not just anti immigration as Farage is. Anti immigration feelings haven't just peaked in the last 10 years, they are nowhere as high as in the 70's.

Go and check the stats released of those student Visas that have been issued by UK over the past few years, Nigerians are highest in the list.

Brits have always complained of large scale takeover of neighbourhoods by immigrants and non-English speaking people, it isn't just today. That you are just aware doesn't mean it is just happening

Caregivers can come from all around the world and do, Nigerians are not experts at doing so, don't delude yourself that Brits take us as special in some sort of way, we are all lumped into an Anti immigration basket with those Afghan's and Iraqi's that come in by boat.

Nigerians post these videos on social media more than most, we also dupe each other and out each other to the authorities a lot too. All this tightening of Student visa and families stemmed directly from a BBC video made by a Nigerian where he let on to the BBC about what was happening.

Denmark and Sweden is as a result of Anti Islam feelings, very different to the UK one where even Christian immigrants are seemingly "not welcome".

Like I said, these openings that we took advantage of and broadcast in full stereo in social media, Indians and Pakistani's have been using it for ages.

It's always our Nigerian people. That's why they say that Nigerians are to loud. Yes, you have become successful in your pursuit, why not keep calm. How many whites do you see that move to other countries and begin to tell you what they did.

They should continue and these other countries will do what the UK did and all of them will come home.

I agree.
Whatever loopholes or shortcuts that Nigerians discovered, Indians and others have been taking advantage of it for decades. But the little minded Nigerians and their compulsive need to show off sabotages everything for everyone.

That's just the problem...!

Most of you Nigerians are just unnecessarily lousy, boastful, talkative and show-offs.

Even the ones that come to church to "share testimonies" are just looking for avenues to brag and make others look less.

Why can't you people succeed QUIETLY?!!

It's not just content creators. It's the attitude of the people.

As well as our reputation in the international community. So far, we've done nothing to clear our image.
Re: How Nigerian Content Creators Destroyed Japa to UK by HacheNoire: 3:22pm On Nov 16, 2025
Nigerians will cast anything!

Never seen a nationality that talks too much like Nigerians

They can steal and still come online to tell you how they stole.

Damn! Very irritating sets of peeps. Especially those newbies, all of them have turned to immigration lawyers. Bursting every codes online.

Indians and Pakistanis will flood any nation and you still won’t hear the codes online. You only hear when it’s bursted. But Nigerians, they can create content with anything.
