BuyLondonUsed:Why are you calling her jezebel? You people that always see Nigeria through the lens of your ethnic group. When that retired General a couple of days back stated that National interest is at risk over the clash between a minister and the gentleman army officer You will think he made sense, but when you look closely he was actually referring to his ethnic group/religious group interest. |

MT:Renunciation happens everywhere — but Nigerians aren’t renouncing because they “hate” their country; they’re seeking what their country consistently fails to provide: security, functioning systems, and dignity. Naturalised citizens are not “second-class” for choosing stability; they are simply people who refuse to let their future be trapped by bad leadership. And instead of blaming those who escape dysfunction, the real question is: why do people born elsewhere rarely feel the need to run from their own countries in the first place? Fix the conditions, and the loudness will turn into pride |

WriterX:you are contradicting yourself . Unlivable = instability. No systems, lack of opportunities. |

sprints1:If “there is no stability or system abroad,” people wouldn’t queue for visas, chase scholarships, or work two jobs just to stay there. Life abroad isn’t perfect — but the basics work: electricity, healthcare, security, public transport, law enforcement, and a predictable economy. Nobody claims it’s paradise; it’s simply a place where effort translates to results, not frustration. When a country can’t guarantee the fundamentals, people will always choose the place where survival doesn’t feel like a daily battle. |

Cromagnon:Do you know why the French gifted the statue of Liberty to the US, Do you understand what that connotes? You guys just talk Anyhow Ask yourself is there really, justice, equity and freedom in Nigeria? Please allow these young professionals japa in peace. They are not the ones responsible for the fantastically corrupt leaders packing our Commonwealth outside to the developed country. You guys keep lying to yourselves that the country is not sick ! What is terrorist (aka bandits) still doing in Nigeria? A stable, organized egalitarian society will keep attracting the best brains, the most resources whether you like it or not. An unstable one will keep losing and losing and losing And there's nothing you can do about it, until a genuine patriotic visionary leader steps up |

I think it has to be the mediocrity culture in the Nigerian mentality. Truth is, very few are different but majority tends that way. All of them will be fine! ..🤔 |
| Re: JAPA: Scott Bolshevik Mocks Nigerians by WriterX(m): 9:57pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
cucumbar:There’s no contradiction. “Unlivable” doesn’t mean nobody survives — it means the structures needed for a decent, predictable life are weak or unreliable. People leave because the basics fail too often: unstable power, unsafe streets, inconsistent healthcare, and an economy that punishes effort. Nigerians abroad struggle, yes — but they struggle within a system that still works. At home, people struggle and the system fights them. That’s the difference. |

Throwback:That's the main reason we blame the government brother... For example... Many youths today especially up north do not need to be kidnapped and coerced to join all these terrorists groups, many seek them out. You know why? Its the system in the land and people subconsciously respond to that. You wonder why crime is more prevalent in lands with overpowering poverty? You know the lands I speak of. So I'm just wondering why people focus on the results but not the cause. The problem the way I see it isn't what Nigerians do. But it's what makes them do or become whatever it is they've all become. How long can we continue throwing shades and condemning the results when we can do nothing of the cause? A Chinese friend told me the death penalty changed his land. I don't know. But before then, this ancestor has always subscribed to giving any werey that doesn't like peace, a ticket out of this world Jail time is waste of funds. Funds that should do something reasonable but you dey spend am on werey wey no wan follow ya system. More reason why I feel the wereys are essential for the system to be balanced. Crazy people... |

WriterX:I thought people should not be renouncing their citizenships from your so-called "perfect world", "paradise on earth". You are the person who knows that Nigerians "hate" their country. You are their mouthpiece. If you are a "naturalised" citizen, open your passport and you will see your place of birth in Nigeria boldly written there. It is there for a reason. Keep hating while some of us still keep loving. |

yemmit90:if you like , honor your country as much as you want. SANE people see the country for what it is and are objective about it. Your honoring does not change the reality. If a country that enroll terrorists into its military is not a disgraced country, I wonder what is. |

| Re: JAPA: Scott Bolshevik Mocks Nigerians by WriterX(m): 10:48pm On Nov 15, 2025 |
MT:See, nobody called any country “perfect.” People don’t migrate because they expect paradise — they migrate because they’re tired of fighting for the basics their own leaders refused to build. Loving Nigeria doesn’t mean pretending everything is fine, just like wearing a foreign passport doesn’t erase where you were born. That birthplace line isn’t shame — it’s proof of how far someone had to travel to find what their home should have given them. If anything, the real hate is defending the conditions that push your own people away. Real love demands better. |

cucumbar:Keep deceiving yourself, those you think they care cannot come and fix your country for you, you can only rant and make them see you in a more ridiculous ways. Will you call a Pig a cat just because it appears neat? If you tell me your home is disgraceful home, it mean you are not a product of good home, and nothing good would never come or expected from you. Will you respect, trust or love your friend who insulted his/her parents, called them evil, and eventually sold his/her parents house. Will you trust that kind of friend with your parents or house? You wont know how illogical you sounds to rational minds by downgrading anything you are part of, until those you are appeasing start calling you out like this. |

Sowore even with his American papers is in Nigeria enjoying politics. Why did Nnamdi Kanu leave his UK and come to Nigeria to make money through IPOB? |

Vision101:And those living and working in Nigeria, do not have expenditure? How much does a single person save monthly from his or her minimum wage of N70K after expenditure? But I know for sure what a single person would save from a minimum wage job after expenditure where I am, will be more than 4 months salary of his counterpart in Nigeria. |
